The house is nicely located about 3 mins away from a smaller neighborhood with restaurants and a couple dive bars, and also about 5/6 minutes away from downtown Portland/Commercial street with a lot of awesome attractions, including boat tours/lobsterin cruises (which we enjoyed very much) and gift shops. Tim's house is overall a nice house. The living room and kitchen seemed to be modernized, but when he states to remember this house is shared, IT IS! We didn't really feel comfortable spending any time in the shared areas, because the residents were always doing their own thing around the house. The room was very small. The bed was decently comfortable. Our room did have a sizable TV which was nice, window AC, and a mini fridge, along with a metal shelf to hang clothes and where a good amount of towels were provided. The bathroom was right next to our room, which was convenient, and it was clean for the most part, besides the random hair that would appear on the shower walls (I believe from one of the residents that shared the bathroom), and that just grossed me out. It was a bit noisy, with people sharing that bathroom and the room across the hall. The washer and dryer were right below the room we stayed in too, and we could hear that. There was a housekeeper that was in and out too. We were really excited to use the hot tub because that was one of the main things we looked for in an AirBNB for our trip, but we were very disappointed. It was available to use, but it wasn't kept up or clean. The chlorine smelled old, the deck around the hot tub was very cluttered, and the hot tub had random hair, dirt and leaves in the bottom, like an old swimming pool. It didn't get very hot either. So, that was a huge bummer. We did go out and adventure around the areas. Bayside Cafe is a must for brunch! Amazing Lobster Benedict and mimosas! J's Oyster was a great spot where local Portlanders seemed to hang out, with stiff drinks, friendly/helpful staff, and great food (especially the clam buckets)! Sebago Brewing was really good as well, along with Portland Lobster Co. who has live music at night, and Boone's was phenomenal...I got the stuffed lobster, and my boyfriend got the surf and turf, WOAH, so delicious. They also had some very tasty cocktails. We took the Lucky Catch Cruise for $35 a person and spent about 2 hours out on the water learning how to lobster, as well as sight seeing some seals. That was a GREAT experience. We also enjoyed a couples massage at Sage Wellness that was more than relaxing. All together we had a great trip and Tim's house accommodated us in basic needs, but I would really recommend this AirBNB for a business trip or college age groups/individuals. Also note: if you're staying and have 2 people in a...

The house is really lovely and Tims nephew met us on arrival. My mother and I had come all the way from London for a special trip and Tim said the room would be okay for the double bed plus an inflatable so we didnt have to sleep in the same bed. However there just wasnt enough room and we couldn't move about. The inflatable was also dead uncomfy. The room (3L I believe) was supposed to be the quietest but we were kept up till the early hours with a gathering downstairs. The most worrying thing was white stains on dark grey bedsheets and a lot of dirt on the inflatable sheets which wasn't nice to sleep in. It would be okay if it wasn't so expensive because then you get what you pay for. I had been so excited to use the facilities and make it a special trip for my mum but we didn't get to meet anybody and it was just a bit of a shame. Also paid the extra money for the inflatable which we never ended up using. We checked out after our first night. Shame because as I say it's a lovely house. Thanks for having us, anyway.

Very comfortable place to stay. I was on a very quick business trip, so I did not get to enjoy the city at all. The fact that the doors all had electronic codes to enter and no keys made the business trip that much easier. Also the room had everything I needed for the trip.
