A charming, cosy, private, well-equipped apartment in a 100-year old UNESCO-protected building, just steps away from the sea, open-air market, main square, supermarket, all right in the middle of the heart of Rovinj Old Town and city centre.
Almost perfectly located, Mima Studio is in a quiet narrow cobblestone alley right behind the main stone gates to Old Town and just off the main city square (20 seconds on foot!), this small yet extremely well equipped place is full of character and charm. We offer just one apartment property, placed in a 106-year old building inside Rovinj Old Town (pedestrian zone) protected by UNESCO and thoroughly renovated a few years ago. In a 25m2 single-room apartment occupying an entire first floor of this traditional Rovinj house, you can expect to enjoy your privacy and modern day luxuries you expect (air-con, a full kitchen with all appliances for cooking yourself, satellite LCD TV, hot water shower, washing machine for longer staying guests) bending with signs of traditional Istrian way of life (fully functional marble fireplace built by old local master, hundred-year old brick tile floor throughout the apartment). With the entire place bursting with cheerful colors of Mediterranean, we assure you a hearty welcome, a comfortable and private stay and a wonderful holiday in Istria to remember. The area around the apartment is full of colorful art galleries, small seafood restaurants and local cafes with splendid views of Adriatic sea (first opportunity for swimming in Old Town is around 100m from the apartment!).
In springtime, the Rovinj market is full of wild asparagus, a local delicacy and one of the cornerstones of seasonal Istrian cooking. The locals are selling it on a Rovinj market (around 3 minutes on foot), along with other local produce in season. Try to prepare it yourself in your own kitchen or sample wild asparagus fritaja in any of the restaurants the city is full of.
If you come by car, we will explain where you can park, and someone will wait for you in the parking lot to guide you to the apartment.
Welcome to our home at Mima Studio!

Interaction with guests
Unless asked to by the guest, I prefer to stay away completely and particularly since I live in Zagreb over the summer. My friend Ankica lives nearby and is there for anything guests might need.
Other things to note
Wifi internet access is available and included in apartment price. Due to the telecom terms, a 3GB limit is available every calendar day for guests, renewable automatically at midnight. Guest should be aware that a smaller limit might apply on their first day since some traffic might have been used by the previous guest.
Pets are welcome; pets as in cats and dogs.
We accept couples with children with no extra cost for your kid as long as you don't mind that there is only one large double bed in the apartment and absolutely no way to organize another bed.
Please do not try to light up the fireplace without asking first if you never tried it before; those are real woods going inside and the fire can surprise you if you are not used to it; ask for help, please.
Smoking is allowed in the apartment.
Please treat any equipment inside the apartment and generally our city as if it were yours and we will be happy hosts! :-)
Hello everybody, my name is Goran and I am a guy trying to get along with life in general :-) I live in Croatian inland capital of Zagreb (where my work is), about three hour drive from Rovinj. My wife and I do not use our Rovinj property much of the year, so we decided to rent it to people who like sea, good food and romance of cobblestone streets :-) The entire building has been renowated 5 years ago restoring it to former glory! We do not go there as much as we would, Zagreb is still a good car drive away, but everytime we do get to go, Rovinj is still heavenly breathtaking, and my piece of that heaven awaits us.
