This cozy forest lodge is located in a unique location on a fully fenced private forest plot of over 1000m2. It is lovely to stay here among the many chirping birds and squirrels.
The house is completely renovated (completed in December 2023) and attractively decorated. Much attention has been paid to comfort, which is reflected in the floor heating, good insulation, the wood stove and both a bath and a walk-in shower.
The outdoors is fantastic here for both young and old.
The space
From the living room, the large windows offer a beautiful view of the private garden. It's very cosy sitting here by the warm wood-burning stove! There is also underfloor heating in the living room.
There is an open-plan kitchen equipped with all mod cons: dishwasher, combi oven, fridge-freezer, induction hob, Dolce Gusto coffee capsule machine and a filter coffee machine.
The house is completely on one level. There are 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double divan bed (1.80 m). There are two single box springs in the second bedroom and a single box spring in the third bedroom.
After a day in the great outdoors, the luxurious bathroom with walk-in shower and bathtub offers plenty of comfort.
The rear of the property borders another plot of woodland. There is no house that overlooks this plot at the rear, so when drinking a cup of coffee under the canopy behind the house, there is a lot of privacy.
Here you can enjoy the outdoors. There are several seating areas on the plot: both at the front and at the back. There is a table on the terrace with comfortable chairs, and you can prepare food on the wood-fired outdoor stove with a pizza oven. You can also roast marshmallows here. A (gas) barbecue is also available.
There is always something for children to discover and play with, including the trampoline, swing, sandpit and rebounder (new!). The plot is fully fenced.
Unique: do you want to go on holiday with another family, but in separate cottages? This cottage is adjacent to the forest plot on which our second holiday cottage is located. So, if you book both cottages at the same time, you can walk from one garden to the other! Please enquire about the options for this.
This is the perfect place to recharge, rest, engage in sporting activities and to enjoy the fun in the fine surrounding places. The lodge is beautifully located within walking distance of various nature reserves, adjacent to the Kroondomeinen, the Gortelse heide and Vierhouten. Epe has a 100% game guarantee, so there's a good chance you'll spot deer or other game. The centre of Epe, with various shops and restaurants, is about 3 km away. There are beautiful places to visit in the surrounding area, such as Deventer, Elburg, Zwolle and Apeldoorn. For families with children, there are nice terraces with playground nearby: relaxation guaranteed! There are also plenty of recreational and cultural activities: the Veluwse Bron, the Zandenplas recreation area in Nunspeet, Koningin Julianatoren, Cannenburgh Castle, Apenheul, Het Loo Palace and the Heerderstrand. There is a lot to do, and all from a wonderfully quiet home base. Let yourself be amazed and enjoy!

It is a detached house on a large plot that is entirely for private use and offers a lot of privacy.
Other things to note
We try to take care of everything for you as much as possible. Of course, that starts with packing as little as possible! That's why we provide the following:
> There is a filter coffee machine and a Dolce Gusto coffee cup machine.
> We provide 1 set of bed linen and 2 towels per person per stay.
> We also provide a kitchen towel and tea towel.
> Also provided: hand soap, washing-up liquid, sponge, matches, salt and pepper, dishwasher tablets and rubbish bags.
We provide 2 towels plus face cloths per person per stay. There is also 1 set of bed linen per person per stay. The beds are not made on arrival at the cottage.
For small children, there is a folding camping bed and high chair available.
There are nets with wood that you can use for a fee to create a wonderful atmosphere around the fireplace.
