Carmel-by-the-Sea is about 8 miles south via Highway 1, a scenic 15-minute drive. Big Sur's dramatic coastline begins approximately 30 miles south. San Jose is 75 miles north via Highway 1 and Highway 101, roughly 90 minutes depending on traffic.
