Phearun was a terrific host. He brought me to all the major sites in Siem Reap including places outside of the main attractions in Angkor that tourists rarely visit. He provided me with tons of local delicacies that were all delicious and woke up at the crack of dawn twice so that I could experience Angkor Wat at sunrise and also to bring me to the airport. His family also made a special dinner for my birthday including a surprise cake! He is extremely friendly and cares a lot about helping the people of Cambodia, especially kids, so he tries to make all his visitors conscientious of the struggles of his people. Overall I had a great time with Phearun.

If you want to save money this might not be the best place to stay or be aware. The appartement was okay but loud early in the morning and during the day. We stayed in better places in Thailand for that range of price. The host is a really charming guy and he know how to make you fall for him (he will sing song, give you food, talk about what he says he does for other people like raising money for toilet in the countryside). Please be carefull when giving for a "foundation" to an individual person because you dont really know where the money is going. He will invite you to a dinner to talk about it and try to have money from you. He invite us to visit a school ($) and this felt wrong, we refuse. Please read about Childsafe travelling before doing that kind of activity. You, as an individual, wont solve poverty in Cambodia and if you want to help, please do it the right way. The first morning, he came knocking at our door to offer us a transport to the Angkor Temple for 3 days; 2 days  by TukTuk driver and one by car (offer by him) + transport to the airport by car. It was overprice. From previous research, we knew that this kind of service by TukTuk is about 20$us/Day. And I would have expect the host to not charge us more than 50% of the price in fee for CALLING a driver (other places we stayed charge no fee at all for this) and he wont tell you he keep lots of money for him. That morning, there was no electricity which means no Wifi. I didnt know where to go or where to call for the services I wanted since all the information was on the Web. At this time, my boyfriend was under his charm and really wanted me to accept the offer, and he was kind of discourage at myself for refusing and being so stubborn. The money was going to a good cause, you know... So I told him it was okay if he negotiate the price and he would be paying for it, not me. The price was still high but anyway things were going to go well... I was wrong. To make a story short, we never got the car (not even for the transport to the airport). He told us he was busy with people in the countryside so he could not offer the service (but we saw him alone at different moment of the day). He start to change the plan and tried to cut the last day for a halfday of tuk tuk (but we argue and we got a full day like it was suppose to be but still no car). I would have more things to say but running out of space. I felt like the whole thing was a scam.

Our stay in Cambodia was very short, but thanks to Phearun, we were really able to make the most of it. He arranged a tuk-tuk tour of Angkor Wat, transport to airport, and even showed us a little bit of Siem Reap's nightlife. His place is equipped with all the basic amenities and Phearun even gave us breakfast. Wholeheartedly recommed this listing to everyone who wants to experience Siem Reap like a local!

Phearun's place was great for our stay in Siem Reap. He will pick you up from the airport for a small fee and take you right to his guesthouse. If you choose to take his tour, he will drive you to see many of the temples in Angkor Heritage area and so much more, like pub street and a mountain where you can see for miles. Phearun invited us to several meals with him and his family and took us to see and deliver supplies to the village children that he helps support. I learned so much more about Cambodia by staying with Phearun than I would have with any other host. He's very kind and accommodating and I would recommend others stay here and take his tour when coming to Siem Reap.

Phearan and his family were great hosts! The apartment is a great for anyone passing through or staying for a period of time. It was clean and had all of the necessities. There was a small issue with the stove and Phearan fixed it immediately. He was also great about giving advice for good cheap local places, going to the temples etc. The guesthouse is tucked away from the backpacker and tourist area but lots of little shops to buy water, drink, and snacks nearby. Really enjoyed my time in Siem Reap and Phearan's home!

My stay at Phieron Diep's place was FANTASTIC !! From the moment I made the reservation the information provided was very good and he did pick me up and dropped me off at the airport His family ( Mom, a great person , when she saw that i had an allergic reaction to the cream she applied talcum powder to my arm, she cooked two meals with Phearon as a chef. The food was excellent During my four days in Siem Reip, Phearon was to show me the city and the historic sites of Ankor Wat and the surrounding And finally, we decided that visiting Cambodia without going to the genocide location was a Must!! We took an overnight bus that looked like a first class with beds so every passenger can be comfortable. We were able to visit the city and the genocide locations ( very educational and emotionally moving) After coming back from it we visited the city, had a massage and local food We woke up before sunrise to go yo Ankor Wat to see it and it is a very nice site " worth every penny and more" We spent the whole day from one temple to the next because they are distant but Phearon had a vehicle so we could move around easily. Phearon was able to arrange a mass at the local Church for a family member and it was touching!! My clothes were cleaned and cold Water was waiting for me. Also i was able to teach an english class to a family of seven, have some English coaching to a Cambodian woman professional and we on my last day, we were able to go to the countryside to deliver food and have lunch with families of the community that Phaeron helps out. My stay at Phaeron's place was excellent. If you can do the whole package it is worth it!! If not Phearon will provide the best way how you can make the best our of your stay!! And get a massage, very inexpensive and good job!!! I fell like I was part of a Cambodian family and that made me feel like a local To me That is priceless !!!! Thank you

My name is Phearun , I work as a male nurse , and my part job is driver tour guide here in Siem Reap . I am one of 5 siblings in my family . I grown up here in Siem Reap .
I like to share my culture and the history of my country to all people around the world who are interested to know more about the history of Cambodia .

I like to act as a tour guide for my guests and share with them about local life . And I also know how to manage the tour around the city and the Angkor Wat temple too . The most important you can join with us a local dish with my family.

What's most important about me for my guests is my understanding of what people want when they visit my country. Everyone wants to take the Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider picture at Ta Phrom, and rise ‪at 4am‬ for sunrise above our most famous temple, Angkor Wat. These experiences are a must for visitors, but after wondering from temple to temple, nearly every tourist wants to see something different and separate from the tour groups and buses. This is what makes staying with me most special, I will show you these mentioned places (and I will take amazing photos of you among the temples, on the tuk tuk, and doing yoga poses at sunrise and sunset), but I will also show you my country. I'll bring you to the Kulen mountain's Buddha and waterfalls, to the rice fields, to the countryside to meet small children who want to practice English with you and make curry together, to the spas for massages, and to meditate on Buddha's day with my mother, and to sing karaoke on route 60 with the locals (not Pub Street!)

As there is no public transport in Siem Reap I can pick up and drop off via Tuk Tuk from the airport and bus station at a very competitive price far lower than getting one at the ports, if you would like this please let me know.

I also can take you on tours around the area with the Angkor Wat temple for 1 or 3 days at very competitive prices.

I can arrange bus tickets for any destination within Cambodia and to Vietnam and Thailand.

I can arrange for the Visa with a 24 hour turn around.

I can supply a local sim with data if needed.

For any of the above if you would like to take up my offer just let me know.
