My flat next to Kennington Park comfortably sleeps 2 in a large double room with lots of afternoon sun. A short walk to several bus routes & 2 tube stops from Waterloo & Southbank, you can be in the heart of London in 20 mins. LGBT friendly.

The space
The 2nd bedroom in my flat is a large private double room with lots of afternoon sun in Kennington/Oval, just outside of Zone 1 in South London. Bed linen & towels are provided Broadband wireless is available. The flat is next to Kennington Park & is less than 5 mins walk to good bus & tube connections (Northern line, Oval Station is 2 stops from Waterloo) or a 30-40 min walk to Southbank if you prefer. Bus routes include buses from most major train stations including Paddington, Victoria, Kings Cross, Liverpool St, London Bridge & Waterloo - no changes necessary. The local stop is St Marks Church or Kennington Park depending on the bus route.

Guest access
You will share the bathroom with me, my partner & Tizer, the cat. There is a good shower over the bath. Please keep showers under 10 mins to conserve water. Kitchen & laundry facilities are available if you require them & room in the fridge is available for your use if you require it. I provide tea & coffee but with work commitments I will not be available to do breakfast.

Other things to note
I have a cat who is very enthusiastic & loving. He is not allowed in the guest room unless you want him but has full range in the rest of the flat. However, please note he has a very strong opinion of where he is allowed to go & can be very quick getting there when you least expect it. Please endeavour not to let him out as you enter or leave. He also shares the bathroom as his toilet is in there. This means being aware of leaving the bathroom door open when you finish & making sure the lid is down on the human toilet

I love that my flat is so close to Kennington Park & that I can walk in to town & be in Trafalgar Square in 30 to 40 mins at an reasonably easy pace. I can walk to the Thames in 15 mins & walk along it & always find something new to see every time. There is a lovely little farmers market just near Oval tube station every Saturday if you love good cheese & organic sausages. In the opposite direction Brixton is just down the road with its bustling street markets every day of the week.

I am originally a New Zealander, lived for 7 years in Australia & have now become a British citizen after relocating here in 2005. I have worked at many different things in my life & have made what many people consider a strange transition from actor to engineer. I love travelling, although I haven't done as much as I would like; love meeting new people & experiencing new things. My passion is renewable technology & sustainable living. I can't live without a book close to hand & good food & friends make everything worthwhile. Laugh as much as you breathe. Love as long as you live - Johnny Depp
