I didn't get to stay with Barbara, however she was extremely understanding when we let her know our trip was taking longer than expected & received a free hotel from someone who cancelled their stay too late to receive a refund. She responded quickly & was understanding of our unique circumstance.

This a great location if you are looking to be within a short drive to a beach, lobster co-ops, and the Damariscotta region too, and have some quiet space. There is a lovely screen porch overlooking a small garden, and to have your morning coffee on, the rooms are clean, and comfortable, and the house is located just across from a nice little diner.

It was a wonderful stay! Careyleah is a great asset too. We always meet the nicest people, and love the historic charm of this wonderful house. Fully supplied in case you need something and watching the hummingbirds at feeder while drinking coffee is a plus. Would definitely come back, near lighthouse.

Happy we found this spot. Welcomed warmly by the host, and was able to rest our heads for a fun road trip the next day. If you love Maine, and everything it has to offer, you have quick access to explore from here. Highly recommend!
