Description

The space

Situated 20 minute walk to the city centre (5 min by bus or car) and 5 minutes walk to two of the most beautiful parks in Liverpool, Prince and Sefton Park. My home is also around the corner from the 2016 winner of Britain's leading contemporary art award, the Turner Prize. The L8 area has much special architectural and historic interest. I am also located 20 min walk or 5 min drive/cycle to Lark Lane, famous for its bohemian reputation, cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs, shops and art galleries.

I have a wonderful sunny garden, which guests are welcome to utilise and enjoy. When the weather is good, I enjoy doing yoga in the garden or just basking in the sun with the sound of rustling trees in your ears. There's a hammock which guest can use, which I often find an excellent way, to enjoy a book and take time out for yourself. I also have one of the best raspberry bushes in Liverpool, and your welcome to pick your own raspberries over the summer months.

I love cooking so there is fully equipped kitchen (Vegan and vegetarian friendly).

Directions: From Liverpool Airport & Liverpool City Centre get the 86 bus, get off at the Women's Hospital stop and my home is a few minutes walk away!

Guest access

You will have access to a large living/dining room, kitchen, garden and there is two bathrooms (one next to the room and one downstairs)

Interaction with guests

I have extensive knowledge of the city Liverpool and would be happy to help out, with any enquires regarding sightseeing/getting around the city.

The neighbourhood

From the Georgian grandeur of Falkner Square to leafy Princes Park Toxteth, or L8 as it is known, is one of Liverpool’s most culturally diverse communities.

There are plans to transform Lodge Lane (five minute walk from my house) into a south Liverpool food destination. There are indeed Yemeni, Somali and Persian shops and cafes and apparently you can get a killer kebab. Also on Lodge Lane you can get good value world food from Liverpool 8 Superstore, which won the Food Retailer of the Year Award in 2015. It has a thrilling mix of cultures that shop there, banks of fruit and veg – from all corners of the world – that wrap round the front and side of the building, chatty, cheery service and the craziness of being able to buy all manner of household items and forty different kinds of lentil under one roof.

Getting around

City hop on and off bikes, are situated a two minute walk from the house.

There is an excellent regular (every 5 mins) 86 bus service, which you can get on outside Liverpool Lime Street Station or John Lennon Airport and it will take you directly to the bottom of my road (Women's Hospital Stop), with a two minute walk to my house.

Taxis are cheap and I recommend Delta Taxis

Other things to note

Towels and a hairdryer are provided!

Charanjeet is a very friendly host and we had a great time in Liverpool! Her house is well located, in a quiet and accessible area and you have 24-hour buses to get to the city centre. The room was clean and true to the description. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the hot water and it was not working while we were there. But Charanjeet figured out something (she brought us to her boyfriend's house to get a shower) and gave us a full refund for the inconvenience. Apart from that, we had a lovely time :)

We had a great stay! Charanjeet is extremly lovely and welcoming. We felt very comfortable in the room and the house. It is a short 20 min way to walk in the city. It's by the way a nice walk. We highly recommended this room at Charanjeets house!

Lovely host and room. The house is 35-40 minutes walking to the centre of Liverpool but my friend and I didn't mind to do it because the streets are nice and there are some attractions to see on the way (for example the Liverpool Cathedral, which is worth to see). We enjoyed a lot our stay in Liverpool.

This is the second time my husband and I stay at Charanjeet's house. Her place is safe and comfortable. Charanjeet is so lovely that she all time times looks pleasant. She welcomes our son to visit us at our guest room. She treats us as her family members. Her son and friends are also very nice and we enjoy gatherings with them. Especially thanks for Charanjeet's gifts to us at the end of our journey. It really touches me. We are looking forwards another time to visit Charanjeet in Liverpool. Charanjeet's place is highly recommended in Airbnb.

Charanjeet was extremely welcoming and lovely; as was her son who checked me in at 11pm on my first night! Comfy and cosy with flexible hosts. Highly recommended.

Charanjeet's home was beautiful and very homely, we immediately felt right at home. The room is stylish and cosy and the bed was very comfortable. Charanjeet and Tom provided everything we could need for a comfortable stay and we would definitely stay again.
