Richard and Maureen are extremely kind, generous and thoughtful hosts. We were warmly welcomed on arrival with a choice of local wines and delicious snacks of creamed cheese and smoked mussels fresh from the Farmers Market. Their house, with an idyllic location overlooking the neighbouring vineyards and mountains beyond, has a delightful garden to relax in and our rooms were were of modern, high quality decor and fittings ..... with the most luxurious and comfortable double bed! We were given space to relax but also had time on two lovely evenings with our hosts who quietly imparted their local knowledge on an area which they clearly love and know well. During a short walk with our hosts on the first evening and throughout our stay, Richard and Maureen shared insights to help us make the most of our holiday both here and in the north island; from Richard's first hand knowledge of farming and Maureen's work in the cellar door at Framingham vinery, we felt very lucky to have a wealth of local knowledge about the local wines offered so readily. Our breakfasts, including fresh fruit and poached eggs were delicious and offered a selection of produce from either the garden, local shops or the farmers market. We really felt we were enjoying the best of the local food, wines and hospitality during our stay. We can't thank Richard and Maureen enough - we were made very much at home and after enjoying their warm hospitality, left feeling that we had got to know a beautiful part of New Zealand really well. If you are looking to spend time in the Marlborough area we couldn't recommended Richard and Maureen's accommodation highly enough - it's a 5 star treat!!!

Richard and Maureen are the most splendid hosts! Upon arrival, they welcomed us in with a glass of wine and the opportunity to chat. When we came downstairs in the morning we were really in such awe of the pure beauty of the view. Words cannot describe what a delight it is to look out of their home onto the vineyard and hills. Honestly we would have both been content to just stare at the view all day, but there was much for us to experience on our short stay in Blenheim. The first morning Richard took us on a tour of the property, where we had a chance to view the vineyard, fruit trees, garden, and stream. The garden that they have around the property is well-kept and gorgeous. Also, Richard made the most delicious breakfast every morning for us. The room and home itself was spacious and it had all the amenities that we needed. We are happy to report it was the most comfortable bed, too. Richard and Maureen made recommendations of places to visit while in Blenheim and on our route to Christchurch. We were quite pleased that a local wine tour picks up from their home which is extremely convenient. Our two evenings with this friendly couple didn't feel like it was enough. We truly enjoyed the opportunity to stay with them and get to know them. In the future, we hope to return for a longer stay in Blenheim.

Richard and Maureen are two of the kindest people you will meet. They were extremely generous and welcoming hosts. We were greeted with a lovely platter of nibbles, a glass of wine and a beautiful, roaring log fire. We were made to feel very welcome and at home in their beautiful house. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely, the beds were extremely comfortable and all of the facilities were of the highest standard. Richard and Maureen were happy to socialise or let us do our own thing but, both nights, we shared a glass of wine and some very enjoyable and interesting conversations and thoroughly enjoyed their company. Richard cooked up some delicious breakfasts for us and we were offered some lovely local fruits, including feijoas from their trees. The house is set in a beautiful and quiet neighbourhood, surrounded by vines, manicured grounds and native trees and wildlife. Richard gave us a tour of the surrounding area and shared some very interesting local knowledge. While staying here, we also enjoyed a brilliant wine tour of the Marlborough area with a local tour group, including stopping at Maureen's winery, Framingham. We cannot recommend this property enough. We had a wonderful time with Richard and Maureen and hope to stay with them again next time we visit New Zealand.

It was speechless. It was so good that I almost felt I want to keep it to my self. The place was beautiful and so is the front yard and the back yard ( you will find amazing view from the living room with endless vintage). What is more amazing than the hous was the people. Richard and Maureen were the best host I have ever met. They made unforgettable memory of New Zealand. I definitely want to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Stump Creek - couldn't have asked for more picturesque scenery, a lovelier room, or more generous hosts. Richard and Maureen were so welcoming - they greeted us with wine and a cheese platter out on their pergola overlooking a vineyard, took us for a walk to show us their beautiful property, and the included breakfast was amazing - full of fresh produce grown in their garden. We had issues with our hire car, and Richard was kind enough to help us out a lot with accessing a new one. Couldn't more highly recommend a stay at Stump Creek Villa!

Had a lovely 2 nights here - beautiful location with the garden backing straight onto vines. Beautifully furnished, comfortable en-suite room. Ideal location for exploring wineries, and a short distance into Blenheim or Renwick. Richard and Maureen were excellent hosts; we were spoilt with fresh fruit from the garden and delicious poached eggs for breakfast. Highly recommend staying here.

We both enjoy meeting new people from all over the world. Our interest are; food & wine, gardening, traveling, keeping fit. We take a lot of pride and care of our home amongst the vines of Marlborough. I am a semi- retired farmer but still work developing new vineyards. Maureen works a for a local winery.
We assure all guests will receive a very warm welcome and be well looked after.
