This listing is very inaccurate, my wife and I booked an expected double room in a family home, we got a twin room in a shared occupancy house. One of the beds in the room was uncomfortable as you could feel all the springs. There were no bedside tables or lamps. The listing also…
Response from Sam:
Woah! Quite suprised to see this!!!! Can't believe this is the same person that I left a five star review for! But I must write a response to this nonesense, considering the fact you're the very first guest that left a negative review for me. When you first contacted me, I informed you that the room with a double bed was already gone. ( You knew I had another guest in that room and he came a couple of days before you. Yours was a last minute booking, so it's not possible and nice to swap the rooms). Then you said you badly needed a place to stay the night as you were coming back from the Penguine Parade in Philip Island, so you were going to be late and would not worry too much about a double bed. To my surprise, you also mentioned mine was the cheapest you had found in this area and two single beds were just fine for the night. Why change the tunes now? After the phone conversation, I prepared the room with two single beds for you. Why did you agree to that then, if you were going to leave a negative review??? It's not fair at all. May I politely ask, who are you trying to punish? While mine indeed is a family home, as I had informed you earlier, I had another guest in the other room (who happens to be very dark skinned whether you liked it or not). Right from the start, I noticed the chemistry between you two were not very healthy. When I introduced him, you were not interested at all. It was unfortunate but I kept my silence as you both were my guests. He was the person who prepared an instant noodle when you were in the kitchen. In my opinion, regardless of where you're coming from, every guest gets the same respect and have the same rights. If you had wanted a whole house to yourself, AirBnb was probably not the best option for you Mick. By the way, do you still remember how I stayed up till 11.30pm to open the door for you? Do you still remember how I helped you and your wife with your luggage? Do you still remember how I made coffees for you? Perhaps, due to your age, you seem to be forgetting a lot about my hospitality Mick. Isn't that a little strange? Yes I agree, 'having no bedside tables' was the only truth you had in your review. You know why Mick? There wasn't enough space after bringing two singles beds in. But at the same time, you should mention I still gave you two small tables in the room! Wonder why you forget that in the review? Hmm..strange!! I also do not appreciate how you said AirBnb stood for "bed & breakfast", therefore it's my responsbility to provide breakfast. I realised you were a bit drunk at the time. That night I politely explained how each AirBnb host operated and you seemed rather unhappy about my explantion. You must learn more about AirBnb as a culture Mick and should've definitely read my profile before you booked it. Anyone who reads your review will immediately realise you haven't bothered to read my listing in full. Where does it say I provide breakfast Mick? Where does it say I provide private bathrooms?? Does my profile say you will get a TV with Netflix in your room? Lucky you did not ask for a private chauffering service, so to speak!!!! No hard feelings but you should probably get a luxury place in the city rather than just an AirBnb room my friend. If you wanted a whole house to yourself, there is a separate section on AirBnb just for that purpose. Additionally, you could've booked a 5 star hotel in the city like I said. Here you booked a room in someone's house and yes, we do share things in a house. I do not appreciate this review full of fabricated stories when I have done my absolute very best to put smiles on your face. You may not have liked the other guest in the house, but you really should've brought it up on a personal level rather than tarnishing my good image on a review like this. Worse yet, with all these fabricated stories on toilets and smoke alarms? This is a new house and no such drama, at least for now! What was your real intention Mick? With all due respect Mick, I clearly do not have to pay the price of not creating your imaginary world at my place! If my place that bad, why wouldn't other guests criticise any of these in their previous reviews? Well, I guess that answers the question my friend, doesn't it? It's unfortunate that you made up some of these stories just to punish me for nothing (which is ugly and unfortunate) but I treat all my guests equal. I shouldn't let a random guest tarnish my image. No offence but what you tried to do was not right. Thanks for your time and I wish you best of luck in England!
