This is a fabulous end-unit Victorian townhouse, fully renovated in 2015 to bring it functional for the modern era. While everything is new, the charm has been retained and preserved. This is a great place in a great location. There is an air mattress available for those with small kids who want to sleep in the same room as parents.
Walk to the White House and hottest restaurants in DC from this 1 bedroom apartment, fully renovated in 2015. If you are coming to DC for the weekend, you absolutely cannot beat this location. 15th and N Streets NW. Walk to three metros stops: McPherson Square on Blue/Orange Line or Farragut North on Red Line or Mt Vernon Square/Convention Center on Green/Yellow Line. Walk to Whole Foods and all the hip restaurants on the 14th Street corridor. Walk to the White House. The location of this fabulous 1870 corner unit Victorian rowhome can't be beat. (Around the corner from Homewood Suites by Hilton; one block from Loew's Madison and Westin DC City Center). This is my first experience with AirBnB, just getting started. 11 foot ceilings, beautiful architectural details, hardwood floors, grand staircase. The bedroom is small but totally manageable and fits a queen bed. The unit is a 1 bedroom in an 1870 Victorian row house, totally renovated in 2014-15. Exudes charm. Location is top-notch. Finishes very high-end. The unit itself is VERY SMALL for an apartment. It is really ideal for up to four adults and a child if two share a bed and child is on twin airbed in parents bedroom and all five are willing to share a bathroom. Two people would be perfect. The living space has two full-size sleeper futons that could fit two small kids or one adult each. The bedroom has a queen bed and no dresser. There is ELFA closet shelving and some ELFA drawers in the small closet. There is also ONLY ONE BATHROOM. The dining area is in the kitchen and is a bistro table for 2. There is a grand staircase (shown) to get to the unit, so it not wheelchair accessible. The location is really phenomenal for sightseeing or even business trips.
The entire apartment.

Other things to note
There is parking available on the cobblestone driveway for $29/night if it is not booked by one of the other guests in the 5-unit building. One space for all five units. Cars and small SUVs only. First-come, first-served. Parking is also plentiful on the street or in a nearby underground garage, one block away.
The building completed a nearly seven-figure renovation in October 2015. This is a really fabulous apartment in an absolutely primo location in DC.

I am a former journalist turned real estate professional. I signed up with AirBnB in 2013 but just started hosting in fall 2015, so am new to the AirBnB experience.
I have rented unfurnished places for years and many of my former tenants have called me "the best landlord I ever had." In my former life, I have worked for CBS News, Reuters and CBS MarketWatch, where I covered the White House during first term of President George W. Bush.
I hope you enjoy your stay and welcome any feedback to make the experience better for future guests.
