An amazing place like stepping back to viking days but with all the modern world luxuries. Best hot tub ever...

Absolutely recommended! The place is literally situated on the fjord, facing majestic mountains on the other side. Peacefully quiet, it's a place of unbelievable beauty. Flat fully furnished, incredibly well heated and with a good kitchen to cook your own meals. A couple of shops are just a short drive away. Perfect place to get a break from civilisation and get immersed in stunning nature. Can't wait to book another trip there! Also Astrid's been extremely helpful in giving practical information on our way there and warm and kind during our stay, pointing out elk in the surrounding woods or speaking of places to visit. There are really no words to describe the view you'll have from the front windows of her place, just go there and you won't regret it! Personally still day-dreaming about it...

We stayed one night at Astrid's Oase as we wanted to go skiing in the area. The communication with Astrid went smooth and even though we arrived later than agreed for our check-in, she was very welcoming and kind. The cottage is beautifully located right by the ocean with amazing views of the water and the mountains. It's very comfortable, clean and cozy. Unfortunately the hot tub was broken at the time of our visit but we'll try it out the next time we visit! :) Astrid was very kind and allowed us to stay until 17:30 before checking-out, so we were able to do a beautiful ski tour before leaving. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back when "Vikingastua" and the sauna is finished!

Our group of five stayed with Astrid for just one night on transit from Tromso to Lofoten Islands. It was a good half way point for us, but would also suit those who wanted to spend a few nights in a spectacular location - the view from the cabin is breathtaking. As we were only staying one night we were looking for something economical, and Astrid's was good value for money. Astrid has a small restaurant on the same property and we ordered dinner in advance, which was a lovely experience. The restaurant exudes warmth and homeliness, the decor is an eclectic mix of unusual but fun objects. We were served cauliflower and broccoli soup, yum. This was followed by the nicest piece of salmon I have ever had, melted in our mouths. Desert was a creme caramel made on lactose free milk because of our dietary requirements. Her young son served our food, he was incredibly polite and had great English, a lovely young man, as was his brother. The cabin itself is basic, but has everything needed for a short or long term stay. Keep showers short as the hot water unit is not enormous. Highly recommended for the budget conscious.

Astrid-Oase is obviously a good place to stay and enjoy, especially the cozy room is just located at the seafront and you can enjoy the snow mountain and fjord. The host is also nice and friendly. They greet my kid bundle of toy which makes not only the adult but also the kid enjoy the staying.

This cottage was awesome! My boyfriend and I were dreaming of a place like this and that was amazing: beautiful wooden cottage, stunning view in front of the mountains and lake. They have a great hot tub ( it s not included in the price so you gotta add 70 euros if you wanna enjoy it) but it really worths it! We totally recommend you to pay for it because it was the best night ever ( hot tub in the middle of the nature, with the view of the mountains, no noise and amazing northern lights ( that's a perfect spot if you wanna see auroras) Astrid, her husband and her kids were very welcoming, astrid's son even brought us pastries Astrid had baked for us. We spent 1 night but we would have stayed much longer if we weren't doing a road trip! I totally recommend this paradise
