Very cute cottage, in a lush garden, at the heart of the lively neighbourhood of Observatory. Walking distance from plenty of bars and restaurants. The room itself is decorated with a lot of taste, but still quite small and I find quite expensive in the end. But all in all, we had a good night, and Chris was a very caring host.

Response from Chris:
Hi Liza. Thanks for your kind words. We're sorry that you thought Die Klein Stal expensive. We like to think that people appreciate the small touches through which we try to make their stay special : the finest bed linen, complimentary beers and drinks (even some wine occasionally if we haven't finished it all!), organic Fairtrade coffee, and the run of the garden and pool. We will however take your comment on board and review our prices relative to the other accommodation nearby; the last time we checked we were certainly on the lower end for a free standing, self-contained unit, but maybe things have changed in the interim. Kind regards Chris & Anton

My review probably just echoes everyone else's, but I just loved this quiet, quaint spot. Chris made everything simple as far as check-in and communication, the neighborhood is great and I felt very safe, and the garden and the stable is lovely. If I come back to Cape Town I will book here again, no question.
