The space
Duravel, 38 km from Cahors, west of the Lot Valley is a village of 930 inhabitants.
Duravel, an ancient Gallo-Roman city, founded on the strategic Bordeaux-Lyon road, has the Romanesque church of the former priory founded by Clovis in the 11th century. The remarkable square crypt, one of the few Romanesque buildings in France, is the jewel. In the village many remains still exist such as the ramparts, the washhouse and some manors.
On a wooded hill, our house was built at the end of the 19th century by the owner of the Dôme, the famous Parisian café. Surrounded by four hectares of oak trees, the park of about 2 ha offers superb views of the valley.
We offer for you only, an 80 m² living-dining room with an equipped kitchen, an indoor-outdoor living room and a bright 30 m² bedroom-bathroom.
Bed and bath linens are provided. You will have free access to the pool and park. Calm and serenity are the masters of the place. For your occupations, you will have the choice between flea markets, garage sales, markets (organic producers), visiting the vineyard, hiking on the GR (the GR 65 passes by our gate) or the brand new "greenway", horseback riding, climbing (site 5 km away with more than 100 routes from 4a to 8b), discovering the beautiful villages around and of course the excellent restaurants where you can taste the local cuisine based on duck and truffles.
In the village located about 500 m away, you will find a grocery store, pizzeria, tobacco-press, bakery, restaurant and medical practice.

Other things to note
This property isn't suitable for guests with disabilities. Due to the layout of the land (many terraces) and the risks this poses, we don't recommend staying with children of walking age. On the other hand, babies are welcome (crib, Ikea changing table, bathtub and high chair)
