It's in the center of downtown. You can buy stuff cheaply at grocery strore just in front of hostel.

If location is important to you, then go for it. Have in mind they are very strict about their rules and you might feel you are in a boarding school. It is not the most spacious place and the beds are loud and not comfortable.

Iceland can be expensive, but this is a great place to stay especially if you want a place that's right in the heart of the shopping area in Reykjavik

Overall quite disappointed with my stay here. The place was extremely clean and the location couldn't have been better but the lack of communication between the hosts caused me a lot of anxiety about my stay. when I tried to contact the host about some questions I had after i booked I got no reply. My flight got grounded due to a storm, I messaged and emailed her saying I wouldn't be making it the first night and if they could do anything for me, I again didn't get a response . When I did arrive there was no one in the house. I called the number inside for 'reception' and got no answer. Beds where so squeaky rolling over would wake everyone else in the room. Even though this hostel is cheep there are better ones in the city.
