This new home is completely surrounded by unobstructed views of tropical rainforest, the Gulfo Dulce, and mountains. Spend your days lounging on the expansive deck watching monkeys, macaws, and toucans meander through your personal rainforest. With beautiful teak floors, stunning cedar ceilings (13-16 feet tall), and massive screened openings throughout, you will be immersed in the jungle while ensconced in modernity. High speed internet provided via Starlink.

The space
The primary bedroom has a queen-sized bed, mosquito net, ceiling fan, open air closet, attached bathroom, and its own accordion doors that open to the deck.

The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed, mosquito net, ceiling fan, open air closet, and an amazing view of the Gulfo Dulce and rainforest.

The third bedroom has two bunk beds (1 full-size mattress and 3 twin-size mattresses), a ceiling fan, shelves for clothes, and a loft. The bottom two beds have mosquito nets.

The lot is nearly 3 acres and is surrounded by a 20+ acre private forest reserve. From the deck, you cannot see anything besides untouched rainforest, the Gulfo Dulce, and mountains in the background on the other side of the gulf.

It is only five minutes up a dirt road from the main, paved road that connects La Palma and Puerto Jimenez. At the bottom of the dirt road is a pulperia where you can buy popsicles, sodas, beer, snacks, and basic cooking supplies. It is about 15 minutes to Puerto Jimenez where you can find big grocery stores, banks, restaurants, and tour operators.

There is a (usually) small river that you need to cross. It is often completely dry. Very rarely after an especially intense rain, it is impassable. In general, this only occurs in October/November, but at times it may be uncrossable (usually just for an hour or so) from May - September. We have had guests visit from December through May in 2WD, but 4WD is always recommended.

Guest access
The entire house is available for your use. We store our car in the garage while we are not there, and the garage will be locked. You can park your car underneath the house if you would like to keep it out of the sun/rain.

Other things to note
Bugs: The house is in the middle of the most biodiverse place on Earth. There are lots of insects about. If you remember to put food away, keep the doors shut, and only use lights that you need, they can be minimized but not eliminated. The entire house is screened, but it is also very open to the environment with the large according doors on the deck.
