About this listing
You have a complete dwelling to yourself, a charming New Orleans 5 room shotgun style house, kitchen/office and full bathroom. Host on the other side, happy to help you enjoy your stay here. Quick Uber or cab ride to the Quarter, off street parking!
A classic New Orleans shotgun house, you have 3 rooms all in a row, with full kitchen and bath in the back. You are in the up and coming Bywater neighborhood that is just a quick cab ride or Uber to the French Quarter. Also your very own off street parking if you are traveling with a car.
You will have access to the whole house all to yourself! Your host will be next door to check you in/out, as well as help with any issues you might have during your stay. You have a King size bed in the bedroom, as well as a Queen bed and Queen size air mattress available in the other two living rooms, accommodating a total of 6 guests. Because this is a classic New Orleans house, its important to note the rooms are separated by curtains, there are no doors.
Interaction with guests
Other than introducing you to my home and the neighborhood, I'll be around to help you navigate, give some delicious restaurant recommendations, and give you the local's tips to a great stay in New Orleans.
Close to the laid back Bywater neighborhood, and convenient to the French Quarter. This is a great way to see all parts of the city without paying for an expensive hotel in the middle of the madness.
Cabs and Uber are the best way to get around from this neighborhood, or rent a bike for your stay! The St Claude bus line will take you up to the street car so you can see the whole city without access to a car. We do have off street parking available should you have one though.
Other things to note
There is a 4 night minimum during special events in NOLA, Mardi Gras and Jazzfest.
You are welcome to use the kitchen, and make yourself comfortable in any of the rooms. No smoking inside please!
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund, including service fees.

I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa... so I have that polite mid-western charm that's hard to grow out of even after moving around to much bigger cities. After a spell living in Hollywood, CA I found myself finishing school here in New Orleans at Tulane University, and now I never want to leave my forever home here. I love showing people all the great spots in NOLA that they might never find without a local's suggestion.
Very much look forward to opening my home to people looking to cut loose and see the way we do it here. I'm around to help you find your bearings and then off you go! Hope you come back to stay again and again in my cozy neighborhood to explore the whole city.
