This is the apartment Samuel Beckett would have had as a college student, if he'd lived in NY. Seriously. The books in this place are so perfectly curated, I purchased a few used copies at a book stall myself before I left NY. Mark and his apartment-mate Josh were great. Very sweet, respectful, easy to contact. Place is a cozy oasis nestled within the hustle bustle of China Town. Perched right in the top floors of a Buddhist temple. Know there are 3 flights of stairs (no elevator), and after dark it can get a little "interesting" by the outside door. If you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs and you'll be just fine. Super close to subway, etc. Lyft and cabs were available in a flash. Bed + bedding are super comfy, slept like a baby, felt very safe as a solo female traveler. :)

I'm a 23 year old French + Literature student at The New School in Manhattan. I moved to New York in the summer of 2015 from Philadelphia, where I'd been studying for 2+ years, and am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. For the first half of 2016, I'll be studying in Paris.
As a professional skateboarder, I've been travelling the world for tours and video projects for the past five years. In literature and in skateboarding I'm interested by contrasts-- between different cultures, languages, and for skateboarding, different styles of architecture-- and their way of revealing new aspects of the things we thought we knew best.
