Interaction with guests
I'm in town, available by phone or to stop by, lots of advice about local attractions, how to get around. I'll be on hand as needed.
Other things to note
Albuquerque is near lots of natural beauty - mountains, ski areas, Indian Pueblos, Old Town, great shopping, close to Santa Fe, couple of hours from Taos. There's the zoo, aquarium, Natural History Museum.
We hope you'll treat the place as you would if visiting a relative - make yourself comfortable, take good care of the furnishings, relax and enjoy yourself. We think you have everything you'll need to be at home here. Well behaved pets are allowed. All smoking must be done outside. It's a quiet 1-block street, parking for parties would be a problem.
I'm a child of the sixties who grew up to be a legal secretary, now retired. I've lived many years in New Mexico and have diverse friends. I garden, cook healthy food, relax in my home filled with colorful things collected over the years, and also enjoy traveling. I'm a prize-winning pie baker. My partner and I eat out a lot - mostly at Indian food, seafood, and offbeat restaurants. If you rent our townhome, I'll encourage you to get out and see our local culture. We are an American city, and you can see the Native American and HIspanic influence all around, very beautiful.
When my partner and I travel, we do some research on line, make the transportation arrangements and book the first couple of nights lodging; when we arrive, we put the rest together, asking around and going with the flow.
