I just loved Jacqi and Vaneshran's place - I booked on quite short notice, and they were very friendly and accommodating. Their place is located in the vibrant Woodstock area, and it is surrounded by cool bars, hangout places and shops. It is also about a 7-minute walk to the Old Biscuit Mill, and maybe a 15 minute walk into the City Centre. If you don't feel like walking, there are bus stops and a train station just around the corner. The room is standalone and is located on top of their house (literally on their rooftop) and the view from the "front door" features the entirety of Table Mountain. It was clean, super-cozy and had its own roomy shower and toilet, as well as a kettle, a fridge, and tea and coffee things. All in all I had a wonderful stay and I will definitely be back. Thanks guys!

Jacqueline and Vaneshran were wonderful hosts, warm, kind and helpful. They gave us wonderful ideas of things to do in Woodstock and Cape Town. This home is a real home away from home and a perfect base to explore Cape Town from. Our room was beautiful and the bed extremely comfortable. The room also has tea and coffee making facilities, delicious Fairtrade tea and coffee and a bar fridge. The view from the deck is spectacular. Excellent value for money. Can't wait to go back.

Jaqueline & Vaneshran are absolutely amazing hosts with two wonderful kids. The apartment is located in the heart of Woodstock, just two minutes away from the Woodstock Exchange (great coffe, shops, and a superb seafood deli) & two blocks from the train station. I loved my stay in the private and secluded room which is connected to a spacious rooftop with lovely view of the table mountain. But above all I enjoyed the peaceful, heartwarming & welcoming atmosphere of Jaqueline's & Vaneshran's home. I would absolutely recommend you to stay with this wonderful family, if you are looking for a stay in Capetown/Woodstock!

I absolutely loved my stay at Jacqui and Vaneshran's house! They are open, loving and welcoming people with two adorable little children. I found the house as a place full of beauty and peace and the guestroom made me feel at home from the first moment on. I haven't slept nearly as good in a bed in a long time! Woodstock has a great vibe and the city is easily reached via bus, taxi, Uber or train.

We loved staying with Jacqi. The room is private and secluded, with stunning views over Table Mountain. There is also a wonderful balcony for enjoying the mornings and evenings. The house is a 2-minute walk to The Woodstock Exchange, a tonne of great coffee roasters, breweries and restaurants, and a 5-minute walk to the Old Biscuit Mill and all the magical wonder that Woodstock offers. We enjoyed having dinner with Jacqi and her husband, and they shared awesome recommendations within Woodstock and Cape Town. If you're looking to check out Cape Town and/or Woodstock, I'd strongly recommend staying with these awesome people!

There is a place to stay in Cape Town on Airbnb, and this is it. Central location, Jacqueline and Vaneshran were gracious hosts, the room was tranquil and waking up to a full view of Table mountain in the morning... left me speechless.

This is me pictured with my husband, actor/writer/musician, Vaneshran and our 15 month old son, Nuan, at the enchanted Rose Garden of Ooty, Tamil Nadu, during our last visit to India. I am a Fair Trade analyst, specializing in Cocoa, as well as an accredited Iyengar Yoga Instructor. Our home is called Kailasa, after the mountain residence of Hindu deity Shiva, and we try to live according to the ancient principles of Yoga, that is, the 'union' of all things, whether in embracing all in spiritual matters or bringing people together socially or creatively, or the way we eat and prepare food. Moderation is also our motto. We are artists at heart, and our home reflects our lives and philosophy, full of character, stories (past and present) and art. In the heart of the city, with Table Mountain in full view to the south and a splendid view of Woodstock and the old Castle brewery to the north, we have created a creative haven for family, friends and like minds, living to the beats of their own music and finding time to make harmonies as often as possible, whether in work or play or simply relaxing at home.
