Our host was great and always responded right away to any questions or concerns we had. As a group of 3 girls I would not stay here again only because it doesn't seem like the safest neighborhood and we were told but almost all of our drivers to be careful in the area and we didn't feel safe enough to walk anywhere. The only other thing that again is not our host's fault at all is that if you are not going to party the whole time you may not want to stay - it just depends who is renting the downstairs unit. The night we went to be early(11pm) the people down starts were up all night partying and you can hear everything so we all had a hard time sleeping.

Response from Jacquelyn:
The Marigny is completely safe. Just like in any large city we do not recommend walking alone in the dark. Also, the guest downstairs were a couple and their two children who were 8 and 11. They definitely weren't partying all night, but they could have been too loud in the pool. If you had mentioned it to me I could have shot them a quick text to remedy the situation. Your reservation was for 2. Our home only sleeps 2 per our license. I do not appreciate you sneaking a 3rd guest without prior approval. It is inappropriate and could create penalties and fines on our from the city. Please be more cautious.

This apartment is so chic and atmospheric, I just adored it! It's quite spacious, the balcony off the kitchen is a lovely, quiet place to relax with coffee, and the couch and bed are both super comfy. This is maybe the only AirBnB place I've ever stayed in that had proper, sharp knives in the kitchen! The location is in an up and coming area, ten minutes walk to Frenchman's Street, a little further to the Quarter. There is a lot of really cool things to explore down the road the other direction into Bywater, too, including some amazing restaurants. I felt right at home, and would go back in a heartbeat. Barrett was easy to reach, responsive and helpful--a pleasure.

Great location with an easy walk to coffee, food, and a market. Cool and laid back urban setting. Only a mile walk to Cafe Du Monde. We had some problems (totally unrelated to the property) and the property manager went absolutely above and beyond to help us out. Kindness and hospitality at its very best.

Nice place great location near Frenchman street clean we were well-taken care of. Internet is very weak especially in bedroom. Couch in living Room is not very good sleeping bed. Steep stairs not for the aged. Nice hosts!!

Response from Jacquelyn:
Gary this is the first complaint I have had about the internet. Possibly the router just needed to be reset as this is not an issue we have ever had. Did try resetting the router? That could have helped or you could have reached out to me so I could have looked into it for you. We also have never had a complaint on the sleeper sofa as we purchased a high end option instead of going the Ikea route like many others chose to do. The stairs are steep, but that is a normal thing in these older (100+ years) New Orleans home. I am sorry you did not enjoy our home, but I appreciate that you found it clean and us friendly. Thank you so much.

My wife and I loved it! We were in town for jazz fest and this was the perfect place to stay. Very charming New Orleans style. The neighborhood was perfect for what we were looking for. Close enough but quiet...not in a touristy area. Yet it still has so much good food nearby. We randomly stumbled into Mimi's and the Corner Cake & Bakery... both total gems. We actually went to both of them twice. My only disappointment was seeing the pool and realizing we couldn't use it. Haha. Next time. Communication was great. Super easy. No complaints at all.

Great spot here. Very close to everything and it was very cool inside with the exposed brick and quiet deck just outside the kitchen. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to be close to the action but have your own low key spot for hanging out and/or peace and quiet.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The apartment is beautiful, comfortable, and in a great location. Very walkable yet quiet, which was nice as we were traveling with our 11-year-old daughter. The balcony off the kitchen was a wonderful place to enjoy a cup of coffee and the local paper (though there are some wonderful coffee ships in the neighborhood that are worth a visit, too). I highly recommend this place to anyone planning to visit NOLA.

I live in New Orleans with my fiance Colin who was grew up in New Orleans and knows a lot about this wonderful city. We love to escape the city with wilderness getaways involving tent camping, mountain biking, swimming and cooking over an open fire. Colin loves traveling to Denver, while I love beach get-aways with coral reef snorkeling. We are currently living part time in Denver for work and pleasure.

As hosts, my property manager and I strive to offer you an authentic, local experience. We love helping our guests get around town with the best restaurant & bar recommendations along with where to see the best local live music and other events going on around town.

Barrett is happy to answer any questions you may have both before, during and after the reservation process. She will provide you with all the arrival info you'll need, and will always be available during your stay. Thanks!
