My cosy Victorian house is located in the bohemian North Laine area, minutes away from the station and the beach. Restaurants, quirky shops, bars, Brighton Pavilion and Indoor Swimming Pool literally seconds from your front door. Ideal for a couple, but can easily sleep up to 4. Initial Breakfast supplies included.
Check -out is usually 11 AM but can be flexible. ARRIVALS AFTER 7PM CARRY A £20 SURCHARGE. SORRY BUT NO CHECK-INS AFTER 9.30PM.
This is a unique opportunity to live right in the centre of the artistic/creative heart of Brighton- the famous North Laine Area. My 200 year-old cottage is situated in one of the North Laine's quieter streets- it is double- glazed, so even though there are pubs and bars in the area (albeit not in my street), noise levels are kept down.
There is a small patio, ideal for those long summer evenings spent with a bottle of wine and a BBQ!
You'll have a double bed (with orthopaedic mattress) in the upstairs bedroom and a pull-out 2- seater sofa bed in the downstairs lounge. This can sleep two, but is not suitable for very tall or heavy persons. It can be pulled out or converted back into a sofa in seconds!
Bed linen, towels and initial basic breakfast provisions are provided for your convenience.
The cottage was originally built for local fishermen in the 1830s which is reflected in its size and decor; please do not expect high-tech furnishings as that would not fit in with its quaint character.
I am providing a Portable DVD player with a good choice of DVDs for all the family.
Just a short walk from Brighton Station and the seafront, there are numerous bars, restaurants, museums, shops on your doorstep! No need for a car- you can walk everywhere, or take the bus/bike. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO FREE PARKING ANYWHERE IN CENTRAL BRIGHTON.
Interaction with guests
I will be there to welcome you, give you the welcome pack (house manual/map/brochures/bus timetables), answer any questions and make sure you are set up comfortably for your stay! If people arrive after 7PM, a concierge will check you in, necessitating an additional cash payment of £20 upon arrival.
Other things to note
Initial breakfast items are supplied free of charge: Real coffee, a wide selection of teas, a choice of Cereals, Milk, Fruit juice. The bathroom has a bathtub with a hand-held shower attachment.
Please note that as with everywhere in the City Centre, there may be some noise from passing pedestrians and morning refuse collection. The house is double-glazed though, but if you are a light sleeper, then maybe the location is not for you...
Minimum stay is 1 night; 2 nights from Sep 17.
Absolutely no check-ins after 9PM. Please keep the door and windows locked when you are out, and do not lose your keys as I will have to charge extra for having the locks changed. I would prefer non-smokers; however, if you do have to smoke, please do so only by using the outside patio, and discard cigarette butts .Please, show consideration for my neighbours...noisy parties are STRICTLY forbidden. Sorry but no pets.
From May 1 - Sep 9, 2018 the minimum stay is 3 nights.
I 'm an administrator at my family's brewery. I like travelling, shopping, museums, chocolate and sunshine. And most of all, the seaside!
