The space

Welcome to YOUR little slice of heaven in New Orleans! Our beautiful garden retreat is so charming and comfortable you may never want to leave.

About the home:
This newly built guest cottage has everything you need:

Full kitchen
Bathroom with gorgeous tile
Bedroom including an antique full size bed frame, new mattress and luxury linens
Breakfast nook
Screened porch room overlooking the garden
Wifi, flat screen T.V.
2 bicycles...I have helmets & locks...provide your own lights (we love biking around the city –a great way to explore!)
Outdoor shower

This is a perfect retreat for 1-2 people. The home is nestled at the far end of our expansive tropical garden with your own private entrance. Mr. Will, a true Southern gentleman who is 87 years old and refers to himself as “a young bachelor", lives in the main house. If you see Will tending to his beloved garden be sure to say hello, he is just a peach.

About the neighborhood:
The location is truly stellar and in my opinion, the best in the city.

The Bywater is safe, charming and convenient. The Bywater is a creative and bohemian haven, a historic neighborhood with architectural charm, friendly neighbors, and great restaurants, some of the best music venues, coffee shops, boutiques and more.

It's a short mile to the French Quarter that you can easily bike, walk or drive/cab. In fact, you can cab, drive or bike to any part of town in 15 minutes or less. City Park & Fairgrounds (Jazz Fest) are less than a 10-minute drive and 20 min on bike. Frenchmen Street (the best spot in the city for live music) is also a short 10 min bike or drive.

Here are some of our favorites within a few blocks of the home: Satsuma Cafe (fresh juices and dishes made with local produce), Yoga Studio, Bywater Country Club (swimming pool, bar & restaurant), St. Claude Farmers Market, MiMi's in The Marigny (great spot for drinks, music and dancing), Mississippi River, Elizabeth's famous for their Praline Bacon), New Orleans Healing Center (yoga, food co-op, voodoo shop, bookstore, etc), Markey's Bar, Euclid Records (Vinyl & more), Mickey Markey Park, The Joint BBQ (best in town), Vaughns's Bar (where HBO Treme's Kermit Ruffins plays horn every Thursday), BJ's (another great spot for music), Bootys global street food, Pizza Dliscious and more!

About your host:
A natural-born hostess, I'd love to ensure your stay exceeds any expectation. I've lived in New Orleans for XXXXX years and would love nothing more but to share my suggestions to tailor-fit your vacation. If I can answer any questions for you, please be sure to let me know.

Cam was an excellent host who took time out of her day to tell us amazing recommendations. She also provided bikes and maps and was overall just a pleasure to meet and deal with. The place itself is ideal. A good location and amazing (URL HIDDEN) was air conditioned which was amazing! And had a great hot tub, shower (and outside shower!), as well as fully functional kitchen if you need it. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and we certainly will be back.

My husband and I stayed at Cam's place for a weekend getaway in New Orleans. This was our first time staying in the Bywater neighborhood and everything was amazing. Cam is a great hostess and she made our stay wonderful. She was always easy to communicate with and made us feel like we were family. Her cottage is adorable and we can't wait to plan our next stay when we return to Nola. The garden in the backyard is beautiful and relaxing. Her home is not far from the French Quarter and we would take Lyft for rides there. Thank you so much for a great time in Nola!

We absolutely loved Cam's cottage. The accommodations, and the entire property, were lovely and Cam was an amazing host. We had such a wonderful visit! We were able to walk to so many of our favorite places in Nola. Amazing location. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

I had a wonderful stay in Cam's beautiful garden studio. It is comfortable, well appointed in a beautiful large garden in the Bywater, walking distance to a beautiful park and restaurants

We loved staying at Cam's place! The garden is serene and the hot tub and screen porch were phenomenal extras that made our stay even more relaxing. The space is adorable and immaculate. She had everything we could need. Cam and her father are incredibly friendly and kind...they make you feel like you belong there. We would come back in a heart beat!

We loved staying at Cam's sweet Bywater cottage! The cottage, screen porch, and garden are so charming and comfortable. She and her Dad made us feel very welcome and at home. Sitting in the hot tub at night gazing at the lights in the garden was a treat. Outdoor shower is a plus. We used the bikes to ride around town and it is the perfect way to get around and see the neighborhood. Highly recommended!

Cam was amazing!! This was my first airbnb experience and I was completely 100% satisfied. Cam contacted me ahead of time to find out my interests for the trip and to prepare for my visit. Upon arrival she met us at the house, gave us a tour, and some very helpful recommendations. She also bought us a bottle of wine, coffee, and creamer. The house and yard were amazing!! The backyard felt like a little oasis away from the city. Cam allowed us to use her bikes to get around which was a really great way to see the town and the French quarter. One of the bikes had a busted tire and Cam immediately had the bike fixed and a replacement one for us to use:) Her house is only a 20 min; very pleasant bike ride to the French quarter. I Cant thank Cam enough for such a wonderful vacation!!! 5 stars
