About this listing

This cute first floor studio style apartment is on the first floor of the main cabin style house. Equipped with a kitchenette, it's perfect for a longer stay or if you want to stay more secluded out of town.

Here you can wake up to the sounds of Howler Monkeys and tropical birds and fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean from the nearby surf.
When you visit us, not only are you visiting an amazing tropical paradise with tons of unique wildlife, beautiful plants and landscapes, but also an epic surf spot right at our front door…with more amazing beaches (for both swimming and surfing) just a short walk, bike or boat ride away!
Apartment comes equipped with a kitchenette and some additional convenience items such as small flash lights (as some part of town are dark/unlit), beach towels, and bikes. Other amenities include free WiFi, hot water, cook ware and basic items for cooking (salt & pepper, oil, coffee, sugar, drinking water, etc).
If you have 4 guests total that you need to accommodate, we have another unit available for rent! If you rent both, you will have the entire place to yourselves! Check it out at: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/15079569
Located at one of the best surf spots in Bocas Del Toro - you can surf across the street at Paunch or go to Bluff Beach (10 min car ride, 30 min bike ride away). There are two nearby locations where you can rent surf boards and a few other aquatic "toys", with other activities and tours that can be organized in town. You can also rent ATVs at Flying Pirates, which is only a 10 minute bike ride, 20 minute walk away.
Our restaurant (where you will be served breakfast) is open to the public from 9 am - 3 pm five days a week (closed Mondays & Tuesdays). On Monday & Tuesday, it is still open to guests staying with us from 9am - 11 am. You are free to make use of the restaurant deck to eat or just lounge about at anytime, even after it's closed to the public. We will keep the lights on the deck on in the evening until around 9pm. We do ask that noise be kept down after 9 pm (after that we turn the deck lights off).
Interaction with guests
There is a restaurant on the property that serves breakfast and lunch, it is open to the public 5-6 days per week, serving unique specialty tacos. Free breakfast is included for guest, consisting of coffee or tea, juice or smoothie, fresh fruit bowl with yogurt and granola, and a breakfast taco of your choice (menu changes regularly).
When you check in, we will do a quick walk through with you, provide you with keys and set you up with bicycles (provided free of charge for our guests).
We have as much or as little interactions with guests based on their needs and interest. We are available for questions, recommendations and help with activity & dining reservations. We live on the property (2nd floor of the main cabin) and are available everyday until 11am at least (some days later when our restaurant is open). When we are not on property, we are typically out running errands in the mid/late afternoons and some evenings. But we can usually still be reached by cell phone (What's App is not always reliable, as we use it on WiFi only).
Other things to note
Daily housekeeping is avaiable upon request. Linens are changed after every 3rd night.
We are on a small island in a "developing" area of Panama. Power outages happen occasionally. We will do what we can to help your visit remain comfortable, but there may be inconveniences during those times.
We are also on a water catchment system. We ask all of our guests to conserve water as much as possible at all times, and during dry periods, there are times we will ask guests to restrict water usage a bit more than normal. We check the tanks daily and will advise guests if we are running extremey low on water.
All part of the adventure!
We ask that all guests are considerate to all guests staying with us and visiting the restaurant - especially with noise levels early in the morning (before 8 am) or late evening (after 9 pm).
Guests are responsible for all property provided (towels, bikes, etc). Use of bicycles are dependent on providing refundable cash deposit of $50.
Guests must be comfortable with making an effort at basic water conservation as all our water is from our rain catchment system.
No large groups or events are permitted on the property unless approved by the owners in advance.
Be respectful of any and all other guests on the property. This includes guests staying in the other cabin as well as guests of the restaurant.
Do not disturb or try to feed any of the wildlife you may see on the property.

We moved to Bocas to get away from the grind and take a hold of our own careers and future. We moved from Park City area in Utah, prior to that from Dallas, Texas. We love the outdoors and the Caribbean life and love to share our experience with others and to meet new people.
