Welcome to the Crew House. This 1937 brick bungalow is set back from the street within the shade of an ancient Live Oak tree. It's tall ceilings, antique doors with crystal door nobs and over all historic charm make you feel at home.

The space

The Blue Room at the Captains Quarters is a Tiny and quaint room for those who like the coziness of a well appointed space and the feeling of sleeping in a v-berth on a boat. Fine linens with high thread count and duvet, cover the custom West Elm sleeper sofa to ensure a well rested nights sleep. Wall sconces flank the center window and are on a dimmer switch. The credenza is a great place to store your clothes and above that there is a Samsung 4K Smart tv with Netflix and a Tivoli hifi radio

Guest access

Guests have full access to the kitchen and first floor dining and family areas. Washer and dryer are on the back porch.

Interaction with guests

Moderate interaction. I love great conversation and I'm up for going out some nights and grabbing a beer or staying in and cooking on the grill or in the kitchen.

Jason was an excellent host. He was always available to respond to any questions or concerns. House was very clean and comfortable. Neighborhood is nice, with a few restaurants and clubs nearby. Great experience overall and I'd definitely be willing to come back if I find myself in JAX again.

First of all, from the onset, Jason went to great lengths to make my very first Air B&B experience easy. I was on the verge of amazed at the time he took to communicate about all of my concerns and alleviate them. I stayed in the smallest room in the house and after the first night It became my home for the next four. The photo on air B&B made the room look huge and I neglected to read Jason's description which included the words "tiny". Aside from my own flub, I have nothing but a big thanks to Jason for the excellent space he provided. To summarize, Jason is an extraordinary person of high integrity who is committed that his guests enjoy their visit to the greatest extent. I will be traveling back soon and there is no place I'd rather rest my head. Beautiful neighborhood and excellent restaurants and beer joints are near by which make things really easy at the end of the day.

Captain Jason User ProfileCaptain Jason is a superhost.

Welcome aboard the Crew House and the Captains Quarters o|---)

I am a former yacht captain who truly enjoys hosting people at my Airbnb's. I find great pride in the ability to give my guests a fantastic stay while they are here. Whether you are staying in the luxe accommodations of the Captains Quarters or the budget friendly rooms in the Crew House, my direction is to provide a 5 star experience for every guest.

I enjoy riding my beach cruiser around town, grilling out in my back yard or going to garage sales on the weekend. I feel really fortunate to be able to live in Riverside/Avondale area and I enjoy absorbing all the local arts and crafts that the area offers; such as the fine arts museum or the crafts festivals and breweries. Please ask me about what and where to go and I will be happy to be your personal concierge.
