The cabin in the woods is situated in a wooded valley by a small stream that runs towards the sea.
Located away from the campsite and farm, there is no-one around to disturb you other than wildlife and maybe the occasional neigh from a pony in another field just over the stream.

The space
I've decided to open up for Sept - so be gentle with us, we have been closed up till now ;)

The cabin has a 12"x12" footprint and is made from rough cut wood insulated with our own sheepies wool in order to help keep the warmth in from the fitted wood burning stove.

There are 4 beds made up of 2 beefy bunk beds each being 3 foot wide, room enough for a medical grade mattresses for super comfort.

Included in the space is also a fold out futon for sitting indoors and a small table for eating, playing cards or just to stand the coffee pot on in the morning.

The futon is suitable for a 5th person to sleep on without any further cost - but its so horrible I cant sell it as a bed - use it at your own peril, its a eBay special

There is plenty of space to have a fire outside in the firepit with a wonky picnic table to move around to where is needed.

The sea can be accessed at your own risk down the hillside, where you can fish from the rocks by the low tide pebbly area. Its also possible at low low tide to walk to the old lifeboat quay and on to Poppit Sands itself.

Please take note - the cabin is located 'off-road' 400m away from the farmhouse, campsite and its toilet facilities, there is also no vehicle access to the cabin.

Our wifi is only available outside the farmhouse - there is no mobile coverage in the cabin.

So . . Cut yourself off from the phone for a change and have a real holiday in our cabin in the woods.

- Hope to see you soon.

Where you’ll be

Cardigan, Pembrokeshire, United Kingdom

The national geographic rated the Pembrokeshire National Coast Path Walk one of the best walks in the world and it is now joined to the rest of the country as the National Wales Coast Path.
Allt y Coed farm is situated near the start and has the first Gate (1) as the campsite entrance with gate 3 attached to the front of the farm wall.
As well as walking the the coast or other inland walkways, St Dogmaels is our local village where there is a spar for supplies, a market on Thusdays, a Water mill making fresh bread, the ducks to feed at the pond and the abbey ruins.
Just further along is the town of cardigan where you can do some bigger shopping and also visit some of the many coffee shops and local businesses. Cardigan Castle is also now open to the public and well worth a visit.

Hi there all and welcome, we are Helen and Barry from Alltycoed farm and camping site. We are a working sheep and pony farm with over 200+ sheep, 15+ welsh cobs and ponies, a few goats, ducks, cats and dogs along with plenty of other wildlife to spot. We enjoy having gate number 1 of the pembrokeshire coast path walk as our farm entrance with facilities to stay and pitch a tent, park a car, lounge in a yurt or roll in with a small camper van. We have a new toilet block with underfloor heating comprising of a disabled/family wet room + separate toilets and showers for men and women.
