Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
More than 500 years old and set in a gloriously remote rural location on Exmoor, this is a fabulous hayloft floor apartment on the Coleridge Way with enclosed garden - perfect for couples, small families and dogs. In the valley where Coleridge wrote Kubla Khan, this is a house steeped in history. The property sleeps 4, though it's just as suitable for couples, as the second bedroom is 'compact'. It has fabulous views across the Bristol Channel, and is a the perfect retreat from busy daily life.

The space
Parsonage Farm is one of two possible locations for writing Kubla Khan - the other, Ash Farm, is visible from the window a few hundred yards away. It is a traditional cottage interior with some Chinese touches.

Guest access
You can relax in our pond terrace overlooking the Bristol Channel, perfect for a lazy afternoon or a glass of wine before dinner. And you are surrounded by many wonderful walks - with almost 100 acres of private moorland to explore.

Other things to note
Satnav can be unreliable so it's best to print out the driving instructions listed under the 'Getting Around' section below, they work better than the Satnav!

Neighbourhood highlights

• It's best to get supplies in beforehand, as we are about 15 mins from nearest shops!
• We have logs, £10 per big basket - which is much cheaper than the shops - though it may be a bit wet at the moment so for your convenience bring a couple of packets of dry stuff to get you started at least.
• Tesco, Asda & Sainsburys will deliver to us, so with a bit of planning you can sort out your shopping in advance. All you need to know is: Parsonage Farm, TA24 8JN - but you will need to be in residence for their delivery
• Please use the suggested directions below rather than Satnav from Porlock, as the satnav may take you up the Worthy toll road which is currently in very poor condition!
