Ludo's place is just as lovely as it looks - it is a beautiful historic building and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. When we arrived, everything was very clean, and there were plenty of books, guides to Bruges, bathroom supplies, a fully-equipped kitchen; everything you could possibly want. The fire is also very easy to use and safe (there is a glass door in front of the fire) - I definitely recommend lighting the fire for a cosy evening in during your stay. The location is also good - it is a very short walk to the city centre, and the walk is a pleasant one, between beautiful old buildings, along cobbled streets, besides the canal. There is also a shop close by for food, drink, etc. Ludo met us when we arrived and was very welcoming, showing us around the house and taking the time to mark up the map with a few suggested walks. He was also able to let us know a few suggested numbers for taxi companies mere minutes after we texted him to ask, which was very helpful. N.B. Twice during our short stay, Deliveroo drivers tried to deliver takeaway that we hadn't ordered - this obviously wasn't a problem as we just told them to go away, but be aware it might happen and don't jump out of your skin when the bell rings like we did! I suppose Deliveroo drivers aren't familiar with the area, or maybe there's another house with a similar-looking address.

Ludo' house is a fantastic little getaway perfect for a couple. The main room is cosy with a nice big dining table and comfortable relaxing chairs. The kitchen is brilliantly fitted out with lots of great equipment and some really good glassware and lots of different sized plates. The shower was nice and hot and a good pressure. Upstairs the bedroom was perfect, calm, quiet and nice and dark at night. Totally lovely place to stay whilst exploring Bruges.
