Mountain side Eco-house set in idyllic countryside, peaceful but not isolated, with amazing views of the mountains, great walks and bike rides. Kitchen diner with open fire, living room with wood burner, bathroom with wet room area, 2 bedrooms , sofa/bed and WIFI. The house is equipped with everything you should need. Clean Linen & towels provided. Perfect for romantic getaways or family trips.
It's a modern two bedroom house, one bedroom has a bunk bed and one a double bed. There is a large kitchen diner, comfortable living room, bathroom/wetroom. The kitchen is the original part of the house ,probably about 100 years old, and has substantially thicker stone walls. During the summer months the mountains remain cooler than the village below, with a cool breeze that normally blows. Keeping the windows open and the insect nets down the breeze blows through the house and keeps it cool- natural air con!
The land is being slowly recovered from nature and the terraces are being rebuilt with the Olives being pruned and weeds being kept under control. Located in the countryside so great for walks or bike rides. In the Campo there is plenty of parking.
In the future I am planning to add to the house solar thermal hot water, a burner with back boiler, external insulation, triple glazing and all A+++ goods where possible.
Everything apart from the toolshed. Use caution if going down more than three terraces as some walls are still in need of major repair
Other things to note
You will go up a winding road which is partly tarmacked and then leave the road onto a stony mountain track , so drive carefully. The track has 'speed bumps' (to stop the track washing away during heavy rain) which may bump the bottom of your car when you are fully loaded, so be aware. I normally hire an economy hire car or one up when I visit, but some guests choose a vehicle with higher clearance, such as an Opel Mokka. A very low car is not a good choice.****The dirt track has recently been tarmacked and so should be easier to access the house- Sept 2017****
Front door is a bit stiff and so when turning the key, pull the door towards you at the same time, there is a bit of a knack.

Rubbish can be left in the Grey communal bin in front of the cemetery in Bitem at the bottom of the hill and recycling facilities are in the village.
On your last day, it would be much appreciated if you please leave rubbish at the bins.
