This is a green household, so please utilize the recycling bin for plastic, glass, metal and paper. And always turn off lights and appliances when not in use.
We must insist that you refrain from smoking or using strong perfume indoors or on premises.
For bathtub safety, use the blue step stool and grasp the vertical white handrail rather than towel racks.
There is an outdoor shower to the right of the main entrance, available for your use mid-May through mid-October.
Please remember to remove all makeup prior to sleep or lying on the bed, as most cosmetics are oil based and can ruin sheets, blankets, and pillows. We provide both makeup removal pads & brown washcloths, located to the left of your sink to remove all makeup.
The throw pillows are purely decorative, and not to be slept on.
We are available to address your needs from 10am to 6pm. Otherwise, unless you have an emergency, we require privacy. We can be reached at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).
Please drive slowly on Tessie Lane, especially around blind curves. If you meet another car, the one that's closest to a driveway backs up into it, to let the other car pass.

Clean, private and quaint. If you like a true mountain retreat, this is your place. If you prefer paved roads and roads that are not windy, maybe not so much. We were glad we brought our all wheel drive vehicle! The driveway getting to the house was a surprise, especially late at night. The place was well stocked, clean and overall comfortable. No cable TV so get ready to be unplugged. Only a bathtub but did have a handle shower attached. Nice place overall and glad we were able to take our dog.

We really enjoyed our stay with Jennifer. The room and bathroom were large, clean and thoughtfully setup. We loved all the information provided in the room for things to do in the area. Both beds were comfortable and the space was private. The cell service was good, so we were able to access the internet via our phones. We really enjoyed the property in the trees and took advantage of the shady balcony in the mornings. I would definitely stay again.

I was impressed with the fast reply from Jennifer every time that I communicated with her. We arrived very late at night and The direction that she gave us were perfect and extremely helpful. The accommodation Studio was clean and the bed very comfortable. I really enjoyed the bathroom especially the bath that was really spacious. While heading downtown Blackmountain we saw a deer, turkeys and we stop to fill up our empty water bottle at a small water source , it was really fresh. Overall, We really enjoy our time, it is very quiet and if you need to relax away from everything it is really a place to disconnect. Thank you Jennifer and Holly for a great stay.

Jennifer, Holly and their sweet dog, Raison were wonderful hosts. We spent one week in their great space and even got to have dinner with them one night. It was wonderful to spend time with them and enjoy their hospitality and great space and land. Beautiful natural scenery abounds and we even saw a bear in the woods while we were there. Highly recommend their great AirBnB space and hope to return again!

I am a creative person who wears several hats! I own and operate a bridal makeup business, along with a staging company and do several volunteer projects. I am a former chef and am currently working on creating a food truck that will hook up local restaurants leftover food each night with people in need and homeless folks. I met my partner [Holly] in Cape Cod [Provincetown] in 2007 and moved here a week after that from Winter Park Florida.
Holly is a writer with several books published. She is in post-production of a documentary she has been working on the past couple years and has a wealth of knowledge about the Asheville area. We are blessed by the Universe to be able to offer this wonderful peaceful space to others and still take a couple trips across the country each year!
