This rug came from a Bedouin family in Jordan and the table was my mothers. The painting on the left is from Burma. Every piece tells a story. We would love to hear some of your tales. Our neighborhood has lovely shops full of local flavor. The stories you can write here . . .

Description

The space

Located 12 blocks from downtown Jacksonville, FL, our neighborhood is close to the St Johns River, I 95 and I 10.

Guest access

The guest cottage is located behind our house and can be accessed via the side gate beside the basketball hoop. Follow the stone path through the back yard and the cottage is on the second floor overlooking the koi pond. Guests have access to our kid friendly yard and the private cottage.

Interaction with guests

When available, we welcome the opportunity to provide restaurant and event suggestions. We can share our favorite beach locations and happenings in Jax.

The neighbourhood

Springfield is the oldest neighborhood in Jacksonville and is one square mile in size. The annual music festival Porchfest, the Karpeles Museum and Klutho Park are located in Springfield. If you prefer staying in the suburbs and gated communities, our neighborhood might not be for you. We are a community of friends. We know all of our neighbors on our block. Houses in Springfield are in multiple stages of renovation. And that is why we wouldn't live anywhere else in Jacksonville.

Getting around

The bus stop is a two minute walk from our front door. Downtown is a 20 minute walk away. There are several great restaurants within walking distance. Uber offers a world of possibilities nearby.

Other things to note

We have two AC units and three floor heaters to maintain your temperature of choice.

If you are staying four or more days and would like to wash your laundry, you are most welcome. Our laundry room is located below the carriage house and can be accessed easily with a code.
