Acadia, Blue Hill, Deer Isle, Castine,
The Blue Hill Peninsula, Tapley Farm has been a major ship Wharf and farm where the space, the historic beauty, the land, sea, wildlife, fauna, and skies are as they were 200 years ago when the family first settled in Brooksville. This rustic cabin is near David's Folly Farm, Tinderhearth and Iyengar Yoga. Unique, it is a part of the legacy of the Tapley Sea Captains and their amazing wives who ran the farms while their husbands sailed the world.

Thank you to such wonderful hosts, Carol and Richard! We chose the cabin for our honeymoon and could not have been happier. Great, private location w beach access and a cute fenced in yard for our dog to play. We cooked almost every night and enjoyed the screened in porch. Bonus, a whole bookshelf of classic VHS that made us smile! This was a great spot for all you dog lover s out there. We would love to come back next year to celebrate our anniversary! The hosts were very helpful w local suggestions for hikes, food, and fun! We can't thank them enough for their hospitality!

The farm cabin was lovely and just what we needed for our family's stay! We felt as if we experienced the best of country Maine living. The beach is only a 2 min walk down the road and fun for exploring. The location was perfect for day trips to Bar Harbor, Acadia, Castine, Deer Isle, and Blue Hill. Carol and Dick were always on hand if you needed something but respectful of our space. It was nice to have some wine, crackers and cheese on our arrival as well! In addition, it was wonderful to be so close to Tinder Hearth - an incredible bakery with stone-fired pizzas and fresh pastries!

We had a wonderful, quiet, and relaxing week at the cabin. Carol was great in coordinating and check-in/check-out was seamless. The cabin was clean and cozy with all the amenities we could have needed. In particular, we loved the porch and kitchen, which allowed for warm breezes throughout the day in addition to an amazing setting to relax, read, and eat. We'll definitely consider staying there again the next time we visit Maine.

We had a wonderful time at the farm. It was rustic but very unique. Perhaps their information could be updated to indicate there are no longer any animals at the farm, but that didn't affect our enjoyment of the house. The cleaning fee was a bit high, and almost caused us to choose another property, but overall we were very pleased with our stay, and Dick and Carol were very welcoming. And the welcome wine and cheese in the fridge was a plus!

Carol and her husband made us feel very welcome in their beautiful charming, countryside cabin. We loved everything about it and would definitely recommend it to our friends and family. Maine at it's very best is what you get to experience when you are here. We even got access to some of the fresh squash, apples and pears from their farm which we highly appreciate. The beach is walking distance and we got to experience one of the best sunsets of our lives. It's perfect getaway for city folks like us who hardly get to experience country life like this. forget about working while visiting this pace especially if you want to be online since internet is a major drawback on this property. The surroundings and neighborhoods are also beautiful.

Moving to Maine, back to the family farm, has been an amazing experience as we share a rekindling for a simpler life and a more sacred existence. Our replenishing the ground to rebuild our environment as we cultivate medicinal herbs has been a reconnection to a simple and elegant purpose. Our grandchildren and grown children are our life's loves and we travel to see them all. We use Home Exchange to travel on occasion when we are not visiting our family and have been to many wonderful places. We love the cultural and creative events here in Brooksville and love to cook in as we but our food directly from our farmers so the quality challenges the best we have had in France! Naturally, a rural life is full of movies and reading and we participate in many local activities which we have many of in our area.
We genuinely enjoy our wonderful guests and can say they have all enriched our lives.
Our lives are full and in turn we try to stay on our path to renew this farm and have a sacred life, close to nature and the people we love.
