Merete's was very cool if you want to stay somewhere different! It feels like you're sleeping outside, with all the sounds of nature around you but with a roof over your head. Merete is also great to talk to, and has some cute cats running around.

I loved my stay at Meretes garden in mid September. Merete is a great host; she picked me up & dropped me off in the local town a few times. She also provided excellent advice and help with public transport and things to do in the area. The shared living space in Meretes home is very cosy and comfortable, and the cats are very friendly :) I used the sauna which is brand new and very nice. Unfortunately the other spa facilities aren't ready but the greenhouse is lovely to sit in. The teepees are great; very clean and comfortable bedding.

Relaxing night in tent - such an adventure (especially since the nights are getting colder)! The Spa will actually be finished in October but we were lucky as Merete fired up the fire wood sauna - it was a great experience. Please note that the bathroom is currently shared and quite far from the tents - although this should change when the new infrastructure is finished. Merete was very welcoming and let us use her kitchen to cook diner.

Merete's place was a delightful stop on our road trip through the fjords. Valldal was quiet because we came at end of season, but we still found hot food at a local grocery store and would have loved to try out some of the rafting/canyoning adventures in the area if we'd had time. My traveling companion and I were extremely cozy in our teepee even on a rainy and chilly night, after having dinner and a beer, reading, and playing with the adorable cats in the cutest living room/shared space at Merete's. And the view in the morning, looking out from the teepee over the mountain sunrise, is breathtaking. Merete is a kind and helpful person who has created a peaceful space for relaxation. I hope I cross paths with this place again!

Our stay at Merete's place was overall enjoyable. Tents were clean, beds were warm and comfortable. However, we were not advised about the construction that was happening in Merete's place and were a bit disappointed that atmosphere wasn't exactly as advertised. Our check-in also didn't go smooth as we were traveling without Norwegian sim-card and couldn't contact Merete on the day of our arrival. Perhaps more clearer instruction or automated message via Airbnb prior arrival would've resolved the issue. In any case, Merete was apologetic and friendly, and we had a good time staying in a tent over night. Although we felt like our stay was overpriced.

We loved our stay at Merete's. The teepees are beautiful and beds are very comfy. She provides lots of warm blankets for you to cozy up. The teepees are not heated, but you will sleep fine under blankets. I'd recommend packing a beanie, socks, sweatpants, etc for when you are first warming up the bed! Merete kindly lets you use her living room to charge devices and go on wifi. She also has a full kitchen for you to cook in. Her bathroom was nice with a modern hot shower. The grounds are gorgeous! You can see a waterfall and mountains from the property. There are lots of wildflowers and raspberries growing. The greenhouse is also very tranquil. I'd highly recommend staying at Merete's!

Merete is an outstanding host and very nice person. We loved the atmosphere of her garden experience and wished we had booked an additional night but had to head to our next destination. We would definitely stay there again without hesitation.
