Interaction with guests

I probably won't see you during your stay at the house, but will do everything I can to make sure that you enjoy your stay at the apartment and in Granada. I can therefore be contacted at any time should you need any help or advice.

The neighbourhood

The apartment is very near Plaza Nueva and on the flat and so is perfect for getting around and visiting Granada during your stay. The area is quiet area and there are plenty of tapas bars and restaurants nearby.

Getting around

The centre of Granada is very small so it is possible to walk wherever you need to go. There is a beautiful walk up to the Alhambra which begins near the apartment (up Cuesta de los Chinos).
Taxis are not expensive and there is also the C1 and C2 bus stop opposite the apartment if you want to visit the Albaicín.
It is possible to drive to quite close to the apartment (14:00 - 20:00) and leave luggage and passengers and then park nearby or along the Camino de Sacromonte.

The apartment is in a wonderful historic building, with a stunning view of the Alhambra. It was a fantastic sight to wake up to! Granada is compact so we walked all over the city as well as walking into the hills behind the apartment for more beautiful views, including snow-capped mountains. The apartment is spacious and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. We didn't want to leave!

This apartment was perfect for us, family of four. We loved the view from the bedroom up to the Alhambra and also that it is on the rio darro so we weren't walking the hills all the time... just along the river into the Centro. A really well situated place with everything we needed. Thankyou sarah for your abundance of tips you provided us with... host has created a fabulous resource website which we referred to each day,and it brought new experiences for us that were real treasures! Fantastic communication, sarah was really responsive with any spur of the moment request, which we were really grateful for! We will definitely book this apartment again on our return to Granada.

We loved Sarah's apartment. We decided to stay extra days in Granada and booked this apartment in the morning. By 2:00 p.m., it had been cleaned and was ready to move into. The location is fantastic and the view of the Alhambra is spectacular. We are a party of 5 and were completely comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use. A wonderful vacation apartment for visiting Granada, highly recommend.

Hi Snehlata. Thank you for your feedback. It was good to speak to you on the phone while you were there and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at the apartment. As it says, toiletries are not provided but I was only too happy to make an exception and send someone round with some soap for your stay. The apartment is self-catering so food, spices, etc. are not provided.

Nice neighborhood with convenient dining. The only issue was the time of year as the place does not have air-conditioning. Other than that, it was well located and clean.

Apartamento Cervantes is all about location. The view of Alhambra from the apartment window was awesome. Sacramonte and the caves, central Granada, Granada cathedral, monasteries, El Bañuelo all within walking distance. The apartment itself is in what seems like an old historic building. I am not sure how much remodeling might be allowed, but the apartment could do with a bit of freshening up. It had a plenty of space for 6 of us. It had a working washing machine (did not need other appliances), wifi, plenty of hot water and a number of floor and table fans. Sarah was very responsive and graciously accommodated our requests for late check-in and left luggage after check-out.

The location of Sarah's apartment is superb. It has great views up to the Alhambra and overlooks a lovely plaza beside the river. We could walk or take the bus to all important sites. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The person who met us on arrival was very gracious and Sarah was very accommodating in relation to our departure time.

Hi. I came to Spain after studying Spanish. I moved down to Granada a year later and fell in love with the place. Granada is fantastic: it has all the advantages of a small city: plenty to see and do, the Alhambra, beautiful plazas with fountains, outside terrazas in beautiful settings with bars and restaurants and of course free tapas. It's extremely easy to get from one place to another so you don't need a car: everything is within walking distance. It's better to park your car, if you have one, and explore on foot to discover all the hidden corners of the Albaicín, Sacromonte or Realejo. If you are feeling lazy, there is a brilliant local bus service. and failing that taxis are cheap. Me? Among other things, I'm passionate about food, cheese and chickens: cheese-making, chicken care and cooking. We grow our own fruit and vegetables (and produce our own olive oil and almonds) so I look forward to the different seasons and what's on offer. If you need any advice about what to do while you stay at the house, please contact me. I want you to enjoy Granada as much as I do.
