A lovely old farm house in the middle of the nature. If you are a skier you can start from your door step and walk up to peak of 'Middagtind' for a nice ride down, probably in powder snow.
The house is giving you a good view over the valley.

Great place for ski-touring. A nice roomy house, as stated in the descruption.

The house is vey well situated for skiing in Lygen Alpen south. You can start climbing at least three summits from the house. This is a remote place with a beautifull view on nearby mountains but you need a car for shopping.

We were a group of 5 people which stayed one night in this house. Everything started badly since the communication before arrival was non existing. The place was very difficult to find since it is in an isolated area, the indication provided are not accurate and no signals out of the property are present. Given that none answered to our messages, we tried to call the host but none answered, so we spent one hour driving around and knocking at the door of people living in the area just to find the place. Eventually someone (not sure who this person was) called us back and showed us the way. -Here OUR WORST AIRBNB EXPERIENCE started, since at 22:00 in the evening a man knocked at the door, not speaking a word other than Norwegian, asking for MONEY for cleaning service! The communication was difficult, so he phoned someone and let me speak to him. The person on the phone claimed to be the owner of the house (I was really confused at this point, given the number of people involved of which I completely ignored the identity). I explained that I had already paid for the cleaning service when I booked (this is, of course, an airbnb rule, you all know!). At this time, as kind of magic, the communication with the Host started to exist suddenly! He said I was supposed to pay an extra 500NOK for towels and linen, because he said it was stated in the house rules (absolutely not true, on the contrary they were included in the service of the house!). I believe this was an attempt of fraud, since I had already paid in full for my booking and airbnb policy clearly states that any EXCHANGE OF MONEY should always be between the Guest and Airbnb, it never happened to me that a HOST ASKS FOR EXTRA CASH MONEY ON TOP OF WHAT ALREADY PAID TO AIRBNB in the booking! Please see airbnb policy at the link: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/help/article/199/what-should-i-do-if-someone-asks-me-to-pay-outside-of-the-airbnb-website -The house itself was basic and dirty. Everything in the kitchen needed cleaning before use, blankets were dirty with stains (not sure what it was), dead insects on the floor, moldy walls and carpets, the only bathroom of the house was not in good conditions (the WC flush was broken and the shower was full of buckets and other dirty cleaning items which needed to be removed before using the shower, not very igenic!). -We stayed 12 nights around Norway in similar airbnb accommodations in the same price band (sometimes even cheaper than this) and we have always received a much better service than this, not even comparable! Given the price paid and that roughly 50% of this price was paid for cleaning service, this is absolutely not acceptable and annoying! ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED, if you don't find anything else in the area I would advise to sleep in your car, you would save your money!

The farmhouse was ok, we had some problems with the heating and the electricity, but the host was very helpful and tried to make our stay the best possible. I would recommend it if the price is low compared to the alternatives. The location is amazing, we saw some great Northern lights and 1 hour it is possible to go to tromso.

I'm from Norway, work for a high tech company in Norway. Enjoy playing golf all over the world. And, off cause I like Italian wine (Barbaresco is the favorite) and the Italian food. I do ride my bike in the woods around Trondheim.
In winter time I like skiing both cross country and backcountry.
