From the moment we were warmly greeted by Roger and Mandy, we were truly made to feel at home. It felt as if we were part of their family for the two days that we stayed and it went along way in making the whole experience so memorable. Their house oozes warmth and character and is in a great location being two minutes from the suspension bridge. This also means that the City centre and other main attractions were in walking distance and so our car stayed idle for the duration of our stay. We were surprised at how nice the City is and intend revisiting when it is a bit warmer and when doing so will look to stay with our wonderful hosts again.

Excellent accommodation with lovely views from the bedroom. Two minutes from the famous Clifton suspension bridge. Walking distance to Bristol but feel million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Mandy and Roger were excellent hosts, they really made me feel at home. Thank you.

Mandy was a lovely, welcoming host who made our stay in Bristol all the more enjoyable. From the moment we booked, Mandy was friendly and prompt with responding to messages and arranging when to meet. Upon our arrival, we were invited for a cup of tea and had a lovely chat with Mandy and her husband about Bristol and its attractions. The room was very well-decorated and bed comfortable and we were made to feel welcome from the beginning and able to make use of the kitchen as we wished. The house itself is delightful - the location perfect to explore both the nearby fun and vibrant centre of Bristol and its gorgeous surrounding countryside. Travelling across the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge was especially great! The lovely house and its location aside, Mandy is a lovely person and host who went to extra measures to make us feel at home. I truly cannot fault any part of the experience, it is great to meet such a welcoming and nice host who put the cherry on top of a fantastic weekend!

Since our arrival in their house, Mandy and Roger were brilliant, everything was perfect and definitely if we come back to Bristol we will go there. The room and the service were better then an hotel. The house is gorgeous and if you want you can have your own living room as well :) They live very close to Clifford's Bridge ( amazing! ), but you can reach Bristol easily. You can talk about everything with them and enjoy your breakfast like a family. Thank you very much and hope to see you soon. Lisa and Marco

Mandy and Roger were wonderful hosts and made us feel very at home in their beautiful house. We only stayed one night but felt like part of the family and could have stayed forever! Perfect location for Ashton Court and the Bristol Balloon Fiesta as we got views of the balloons flying across the city from the house.

This was an absolutely wonderful airbnb experience. The room is lovely and has everything you need. We could use all the facilities in the house, which are beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The location is very convenient, with a short walk to Clifton Bridge and a huge park where we could see beautiful deer. It's a nice walk to the city center. Undoubtedly, the top of our stay was Mandy's hospitality. She's an incredibly lovely person. She enjoys chatting and sharing experiences. She's funny and caring. She welcomed us with cupcakes and tea, and prepared breakfast for us every morning at our most convenient time. She even made sandwiches for us to enjoy on our train back to London. It was absolutely brilliant. I cannot think of a better host.

Wow! From the moment I arrived at Mandy and Roger's they made me feel like part of the family. They were so kind, welcoming and I felt thoroughly spoilt. Not only that but their house is beautiful too - in a lovely, leafy area with a lovely garden and fantastic views from the bedroom window. I can't praise The House In The Woods enough, and the hosts! Thanks so much Mandy and Roger for your kindness.

Hello all! I have always lived in the Westcountry. I was born in Cornwall, and although my heart will always be there, I think Bristol is the best place to live for all it has to offer. I worked for 15 years in charity helping children with disabilities, then a further 10 doing the same thing in thar community, a career which I found extremely rewarding. I am outgoing, happy and I love meeting and chatting to new people. I enjoy outdoor pursuits and I also have a very keen interest in the arts and music.
I am looking forward to inviting people in to Bristol, providing a warm and friendly base to have a great experience with all that Bristol has to offer.
