Great place in a nice part of Kyoto. Really appreciated staying in this traditional home. Would definitely stay here again if I come back to Kyoto

This review is for Kamachi rather than her house because we accidently made the booking for the wrong dates. However, Kamachi was very polite and helpful and quick to respond. The mistake was entirely ours and we would not hesitate to book with her again.

Komachi's house in Kyoto is amazing. It's like stepping into the past. Everything is traditional and beautiful. The wee garden you need to walk through to get to the toilet and bathroom is such a lovely extra as well as the little shrines through out the house. There is a lovely convince store called Fresco just around the corner where we grabbed a few bits and went back to the house to have dinner. It was so cosy we felt right at home.

We really enjoy our time in Kyoto. Her house is in a good location, close to the main market. We like how she decorate it, nice for a real Japanese experience. Be aware of potential pest, we didn’t eat in the house or left any food out of the refrigerator for that reason. Fortunately, we did not see any pest inside of the house. Overall have a good experience.

Komachi’s place is very convenient an d comfortable for 1 or 2 families.Several minutes walk to subway station and some interesting place. It is a traditional Japanese house, you’ll like it if you are willing to experience native culture.

We feel pretty lucky to have found this place. 5 of us stayed here and there was plenty of space. It is centrally located and convenient. The house is clean and comfortable. It was really fun to stay in a traditional-style home. The kitchen is easy to use and there is a rice cooker. We shopped at nearby Nishiki Market and a small supermarket down the street and prepared our breakfast. I hope we're able to book it on y=our next trip to Kyoto.
