In a superb peaceful and unrivalled position above Llyn Padarn with uninterrupted views of Snowdon and surrounding hills, this end wing of the owners' house just 2miles via Padarn Country Park to Llanberis. Brilliant location for the great outdoors.

The space

In a fantastic, peaceful location with Off road parking, with two outdoor seating areas with fabulous views from both, the cottage is an end wing of owners' house. The entrance porch is large enough to accommodate two bikes, shower room, good sized kitchen/diner and the cosy lounge Are all on the ground floor whilst the bedroom is accessed via an open, quite steep, staircase from the lounge.

Guest access

Both decking and patio areas complete with table and chairs and exceptional views, are visitors sole use, and also off road parking in front of property.

Interaction with guests

Being adjacent but unobtrusive, we are readily available, or should we be away a reliable person can be contactable, so any unexpected problems can be sorted/resolved on the spot. An information folder and many leaflets with local attractions etc. can be found in the cottage

Other things to note

A car is really desirable, the nearet public transport (bus) is 2 miles away.

Just what we needed for a few days stay in North Wales climbing. Joan's cottage is lovely and comfortable and we were greated with fantastic home made Welsh cakes and two very friendly hosts :-) thank you Joan and Dennis, I'm sure we'll see you again x

Host was great! Full of information and also willing to answer any questions we had. The location is amazing, waking up to the rolling hills surrounding the property was priceless. We made our walk up to the summit of Snowdon, with great weather. Couldn't of asked for more! Will certainly use again

What a view! This place is a really good location for the various outdoor activities in both Pen-y-Pass and the Ogwen. We also appreciated the porch - perfect for dealing with wet kit after a day out. Not the most powerful shower and the stairs to the bedroom are quite steep, but definitely an excellent place to stay in Snowdonia.

We had a fantastic week staying here in such a beautful part of the world. The cottage was cosy, well equipped and the views were fantastic. It's really well located for lots of different attractions and we had loads of great trips out. There was loads of information and leaflets in the cottage so we were never stuck for ideas! Joan was a great host, she answered all my messages promptly, gave us information on how to get there and made sure we were well looked after by her son even though they were away during our stay. I'd recommend using her directions rather than the sat nav as we ended up at the opposite end of the long lane to the cottage! We'd definitely stay here again if we come back to the area - thanks for making us feel so welcome. The cake and milk were very much appreciated after our long journey as well! A great place to stay.

Joan was a lovely host, even when we got a bit lost on arrival! (Sat Nav's fault!) First time we had tried Bara Brith, very tasty indeed. The location is amazing with stunning views of Snowdonia, I wish we had only had lovely weather! The apartment was extremely clean and had all the amenities you could need, including good wifi. Would definitely recommend.

The house is really lovely and the scenery from the house is absolutely stunning! The house is facing both snowdonia and a lake which is great! The area is convenient (close to Bethesda and Llanberis) but also quiet and nice for a escape! Joan is really friendly, not intrusive and really helpful. The house is big and is fully equiped! If the house is still available at the time you are planning your trip I would advise that you book it straight away as you will not regret it! I look forward to come back to Snowdonia!
