The house was just 2km outside Lacoste and close to everything this amazing area has to offer, with just a short drive to other villages like Gordes, Bonnieux and Malerbes. The house itself is very pleasant and well decorated, with more than everything you need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It's located on a massive property with lavender field, garden, swimming pool and pool house and a view of Bonnieux. I would absolutely recommend a stay here. Jannet and her husband was very helpful with directions and recomendations for grocery shopping, restaurants, wine estates, sights and genaral thing to do in the area (of which there are plenty). Just note the name of the villa is on the gate, and it might be open on your arrival and you might miss it like we did first, you can't miss the gate however, big rustic steel gate on the left as you drive from Lacoste with the name La Raffine writen on it, so keep an eye out for that instead of a sign post.

La Raffine is stunning. It's a beautiful property with so many elegant and thoughtful touches. We felt very privilaged to be living in such a beautifully furnished house (did need to move some beautiful pottery into safer locations out of reach for our 3 and 5 yr old). There is no telly but given the wonderful location and swimming pool it didnt matter (And in some ways was a positive!) We also love that area of Provence. We are a family of four and loved our week there. One point to be clear on is that although the description says that the house is on a shared 6000m2 estate it should be clear that the outside dining areas and swimming pool are shared with the couple owning the co-joined house. They also live most of the year in Germany so are often not there but were for our week. This was not a problem as they were very nice. Note that Janet and JP did let us know by email before arrival that they would be around too. Also Driss who looks after the property was lovely and very helpful too. We would recommend to others.

Fabulous setting, covenient to both Lacoste and Bonnieux and all the other attractions in the Luberon. And a beautiful house that the pictures really don't do enough justice to. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us Janet, we had a great time.

The house was just as lovely as presented. The pool was very welcome and a peaceful location to relax in the evenings. This is a truly special location. Take advantage of it if you can.

At night, the glass doors of the master bedroom at La Raffine frame the distant Medieval village of Bonnieux, turning it into your personal Christmas tree-lit nightlight. It is simply beautiful. Reason enough to visit this fabulously located and excellently positioned property in the heart of Provence. We had wonderful stay. We walked up to Lacoste to see the sun set (or rise), walked into the Luberon hills to a see a fir forest, and we even walked to Bonniex and stumbled on a surprising nativity display in the church at the peak. So much to do, without having to get into the car. (Plenty of drives to do too, of course.) The house itself is classic-French charm, but with modern additions. Very well equipped, and very comfortable. We loved having the open fire. Being in Provence in winter was wonderful. The weather was gorgeous for the week after Christmas, and beautiful Province gleamed in that light ... but without the crowds. Perfect for us. And the valley after Jack Frost is spectacular. I highly recommend La Raffine, and greatly appreciated the excellent communication and care of Janet and Drisse.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Janet and Jean Pierre's beautiful La Raffine. We're already looking forward to returning. We ventured out in the mornings to various destinations and returned in the heat of the Provençal early afternoon to enjoy the pool, gardens and lavender fields. Janet and Jean Pierre's directions and suggestions, from local sight seeing to wine and restaurant recommendations were greatly appreciated. We felt like very pampered guests with the beautiful touches that Janet had left for us. Only wish we could have stayed longer.
