We had a really good stay at Stephane's apartment and totally recommend it. The apartment is bigger and more airy than it appears in the photographs, which don't do the flat justice. Everything is very clean and the decor is simple and plain. It has everything you need for a few days in Strasbourg.
The apartment is a three-minute walk to a tram interchange, where four lines meet. The centre of Strasbourg takes about ten minutes. It's about 15 minutes to the railway station and 20 minutes to the European Parliament. Beside the tram station is a Carrefour for all your food shopping and a Pizza Hut.
Directly beside Stephane's flat is a restaurant (excellent menu de jour at lunchtime) and there's another small restaurant about 30m away. The restaurant directly beside the flat makes a bit of noise, but it's just the murmuring of voices and it was totally quiet by 10.30. We didn't find it a problem at all.
Strasbourg itself is a beautiful and very interesting city. Lots to see and some exceptionally good places to eat at reasonable prices. We hope to return.
Stephane is a craft brewer and kindly left us three bottles of his beer, all of which were excellent. Many thanks!
