LOCATION:
All the listing always say: "Downtown, best location, central!!" But it's is never actually true. This one is, it really and truly is right in the middle of everything and you will never need a car to get around; since I moved here I never even used the public transit. The neighborhood is perfectly safe so you can take a walk along the water at any hour during the day or the night.

THE APARTMENT:
Fully furnished two bedroom apartment on the fifth floor of the former Hilton hotel, with a stunning view of Auckland's cityscape and its beautiful waterfront filled with sailboats.

You have your own room with your own patio door and will share the apartment with me, an engineer working full time. Don't mind me however if you want to put music on, or watch movies until 5am as I am a very patient person, don't mind the others, enjoy talking and can sleep through a hurricane.

If you want to cook your food and buy some supplies, you are welcome to use the fridge an any appliance in the apartment.

Please note that I am far from the best person to make a bed. But while it may look like it was done by a 5 year old kid, you can be assured that everything has been cleaned before your arrival.

INCLUDED:
- Queen bed
- Bed linens (washed before each guest)
- Wi-Fi internet
- BBQ
- Washer/dryer
- Dishwashing machine
- Fully furnished kitchen
- Fridge to store your food, stove, oven
- Large terrace
- HD TV where you can plug your laptop and watch movies
- Security keycard

PARKING:
- View a map of parking costs here:
na(URL HIDDEN) / airbnb / parking_auckland.pdf

- To park directly on beside the apartment, it works like this:
$5 for 30 minutes with a maximum of $15 per day. A day starts at 6am, they accept credit cards (with a fee) and there is a $40 charge for lost ticket (so you can park for 10 years and pay only $40 hehehe). During the week, there is an "early bird" special for $11 if you arrive between 5-10am and exit between midday-midnight.

NEARBY (★★See guidebook (map) section★★):
Less than 2 minutes walk:
- Queen street
- All the main bars, (Danny Doolan's, Snap Dragon, ..)
- All the restaurants
- Ferry
- Britomart train sation
- Doplhin sightseeing
- Boat rentals/Charter

5-7 minutes walk:
- Countdown supermarket
- Movie theatre
- More restaurants
- More bars

House Rules

Please,

NO EATING IN BED
I already had to buy a new set of sheets because guest spill food and it stained the sheets.

NO METAL UTENSILS IN FRYING PAN
It might seem obvious, but I had to throw out a frying pan because anAirbnb used a fork to stir so teflon was scratched away. Same goes for metal spatulas.

CLEAN AFTER YOU ARE DONE WITH THE KITCHEN/BATHROOM
I try to keep my place clean so myself and the guests feel comfortable. Please return the favor by not leaving a room look like a battlefield after you are done.

DON'T WASTE HOT WATER
If you use hot water to clean the dishes or wash your hands, don't let the water run for no reason. The more you use, the more time you have to wait to use hot water before taking a shower.

DON'T LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON OR YOUR LAPTOP IF NOT IN USE.
Again, this might seem obvious, but some guest leave the apartment with the TV still on or keep it on while nobody's watching it, some leave all the lights on in their room for hours while they are not using them, or leave the laptop sitting open and unused for extended periods of time

NO SMOKING

As the description says, the location is indeed perfect - so close to everything you will need in Auckland. Marco is a great host and a really nice guy, and his apartment is homely and extremely comfortable with great views. We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay!

My boyfriend and I stayed with Marco in his lovely apartment for 1 week. We loved the location, it was close to everything! The ferries, the CBD, public transport to the airport and wider Auckland were all on our doorstep! Marco is a wonderful host and a truly delightful person we are so happy to have met. Last but not least, the view from the balcony... spectacular! Don't stay anywhere else :)

Spacious modern apartment with spectacular view right on the harbor and convenient to everything: I doubt there is anything better available in downtown Auckland.

Marco was a great host. His apt in Auckland was small but beautiful. He was pleasant whenever we asked a question. Unfortunately he was relocating but we wish him best of luck.

Everyone should stay here when visiting Auckland. Not only is the apartment amazing, with fantastic views and right in the middle of everything, but Marco is the best. This was our first time staying in an extra room vs an entire apartment, and we're so happy we did. It's one of my favorite AIRbnb experiences yet. Marco, thanks for everything! I'm sure we'll see you again :)

It was 2.5days stay. The flat was so clean, beautiful, and great area to stay! It was nice with Marcm at his flat although it was super short. Unforgetable memory now.

I am a kid stuck in an adult's body; I really like fantastic movies, I play Ukulele, I'm s surfer, I like stupid jokes and laugh when somebody falls down and I like zombie movies a lot!

I love life in general.

I also have A LOT of experience hosting people and I know a lot about events in Montreal as I am an ambassador of CouchSurfing Montreal, so I can help you with pretty much any question you have.
