Description

Drive right up to your cottage which includes covered parking. 536 square feet include a living room, kitchenette, bath with tiled shower, bedroom with queen bed, and walk in closet. Enjoy morning coffee on a private, covered patio overlooking the vegetable garden which offers blueberries, tomatoes, etc., depending on season.

The cottage is adjacent to our detached garage, so it is separate from the main house and very private. The living room and bedroom both have sliding doors which open to a furnished brick patio and garden. The garden is seasonal and includes flowers, herbs and vegetables. Covered parking is provided by a retractable awning. Sorry, no pets.

Guests will have access to off street parking and use of the large patio area and garden. The kitchenette does not have an oven, but includes a full size refrigerator, microwave, hot plate, toaster, coffee maker and eating area. A crock pot, toaster oven and electric skillet are available on request.

We are available to our guests as needed.

Access to the American River bike trail is a half mile from our house. We are one mile from shopping and restaurants. Our neighborhood is a beautiful place to walk. The footbridge to California State University is two miles away.

Highway 50 is a couple miles from our house, and there is a convenient light rail station which will take you downtown or out to Folsom. San Francisco is a 1.5 hour drive to the west and Lake Tahoe is 1.5 hours to the east.

The garden is seasonal. We are happy to share as produce matures.

Tina's cottage is a comfortable home away from home. Actually, it was more comfortable than my home and I wish I didn't have to leave it! The garden and sitting areas were cozy and calm. The cottage itself was crisp, clean and comfy. The location is great, only about 15 minutes away from Midtown. Tina is so very kind and thoughtful! The fridge had snacks and accessories for coffee and tea. She was very attentive and made sure everything was comfortable. The kitchenette was perfect for making simple meals.

Cute, cozy cottage. It has everything you need from watching tv to cooking a meal. I came to Sac to attend a conference at the convention center. I under estimated the distance from the convention center to Tina's home. I drove so it wasn't a big deal. Plus the money I would have spent near the convention would have been a real dive and I won't have felt comfortable or safe. Lastly, Tina provided great customer service which was an additional benefit.

Tina was such a great host! She gave us a tour of her home and gave us advice on where to eat around. She was VERY kind and even invited us to join her and her family with pingpong and watch a movie. As for her home, pictures do not give it justice! It is so cozy and beautiful, you'd just have to go there yourself! Thank you for everything Tina! Hoping to stay here again.

Tina and her husband were GREAT! I cannot say enough about her cottage. Stayed for a month and wish it was longer. Pictures are accurate. Place is clean, cozy, and quite large. Everything you may need is there and if not, Tina will provide it. Close to a major highway so easy to get around. Having the parking spot was great right outside the cottage doors. There's even an awning to cover your car! I used it while I unpacked my car when it was raining. My favorite things: The hot plate (no stove), fast/reliable wifi, a big shower, comfy bed, and a tv. A beautiful home and beautiful hosts; I would recommend this to anyone. Hope to come back again!

Loved staying at Tina's adorable, cozy cottage. Had everything we needed and more. Spacious rooms and sparkling clean. Had a private patio with a garden that Tina gave us a tour of :).. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area. Thank you Tina!

I stayed at the Garden Cottage for approximately 7 weeks (my husband booked this for me), while I was starting a new job in Sacramento. Tina took the time to make sure to welcome me to the Garden Cottage and neighborhood. Everything was well organized and it was easy to get settled into life in my new city. The cottage was very comfortable -- there was plenty of room for me (and we made it work for a week when my husband and 2 kids came for a week long visit). The kitchen is small but well equipped -- I had all I needed to saute, toast, and bake (with a toaster oven). There are plenty of extra towels, linen, and bedding to have a fresh set whenever you need. The internet worked great. More importantly, I felt really welcomed by Tina and John. They checked in to make sure I had extra blankets when the weather was getting cold. Tina left some books and games for the kids during their visit. She left me extra bell peppers and tomatoes from the garden, which were delicious. There was a day when the water got cold, and they promptly replaced the water heater! Tina even helped me find a babysitter in the area! I definitely recommend this space, and I'm even thinking of this as a place to consider for relatives when they come visit! I'm glad I found Tina and the Garden Cottage -- my stay here made the transition to a new city and a new job comfortable and easy. Great place to be!

I would like to say I had a wonderful stay at the garden cottage. It was so beautiful. The garden was wonderful to sit and read. Very relaxing. Being my first time using airbnb. I had a very positive experience. I would highly recommend the garden cottage in Sacramento if you are planning to stay in the area.

Tina User ProfileTina is a superhost.

My husband John and I have lived in Sacramento since 1981. Before retiring last year, I worked as an RN at two local hospitals and as a wellness nurse at a nearby assisted living. John is a math professor at California State University. Our two sons work in the Bay area. We enjoy gardening and exploring many of the varied locations within a couple hours drive- from the Pacific coast, to the Redwoods and Napa Valley, and over to the foothills and Sierras to the East. Sacramento also has a lot to offer with its rivers and bike trails, historic old town, the Capital, and various museums. It is also becoming a Farm to Fork destination and many of its wonderful restaurants are nearby.
