We arrived and were greeted by Hélène and André and were immediately made to feel at home. They took us though the house, which was exactly as described, with a bedroom upstairs and one downstairs and with two separate bathrooms, both with excellent showers and water pressure. There’s TV and a great hi-fi and we were welcome to play André’s CD collection, with Mozart becoming a breakfast favourite. The kitchen is fantastic, with large oven / cooker, huge fridge freezer and it’s all beautifully set out and maintained. The coffee machine was particularly welcome. The real jewel in the crown though is the garden. You open the kitchen door and walk straight out onto a terrace that backs onto the most beautiful garden. It took our breath away and throughout our stay, this was forever a source of joy and happiness. Breakfasts on the patio, with the birds singing and fresh coffee on the go while looking over the garden is pretty hard to beat. For the life of us, we couldn’t think of anything negative to say. We were staying for 6 days and we didn’t have a need for a washing machine, so if you were thinking of staying a lot longer, you may want to pack accordingly as there isn’t one available. Other than that, we can honestly say that in 9 years of staying in Cannes, this is our favourite place and we hope to come back year after year. I can’t think of a higher compliment we could pay. Thank you Hélène and André for letting us share your wonderful home and we look forward to seeing you next year. P.S Thank you for the jam. We brought one home with us.

Response from Hélène:
En effet nous n'avons pas mis la machine à laver le linge à disposition, désormais nous le ferons, cela nous demande un peu plus d'organisation.

This is a fantastic house in the centre of Cannes. Hélène and André met us at check in time and they were very nice and welcoming. All necessities were found in the house and the hosts also left a bottle of sparkling wine for us to enjoy. We spent almost all 14 evenings at the house dining on the terrace. The garden is great and refreshing in the mornings and in the evenings during summer time, and is perfect for the children. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the train station, and 15 minutes to the beach. A local bakery is close by. There are also plenty of nice beaches around Cannes (Mandelieu, Theole..) which are easily accessible by the local train. The house is very nicely and artistically decorated by André. The hosts gave swift replies to our questions during the stay. This is a great choice for anyone who wants to enjoy the bay of Cannes!

Helene and her husband were fantastic hosts! they welcomed us into their cosy and comfortable home and made sure we were settled. there were even two bottles of rose chilling in the fridge for us. The house has all the comfort and updates necessary to never have to leave, and the garden is spectacular and large. The area is only 10/15 min walk from the croissette and only 5 min from the station. we were there during the Cannes Lions festival and while everything was overpriced, this house was decent both in budget and distance from the action.

We stayed in the house for 6 days and really loved it. It is an old house, I would assume built in the 19th century, but renovated according to modern standards. The electronic equipment is modern but the house has kept its flair. The garden is very nice, in June you can smell the sent of blooming flowers. Several bakeries can be reached in 5 minutes by foot and the house has a coffee machine which produces good coffee for breakfast. Some navigation systems do not show the right route to the house, so it is good to check in advance.
