NO DOGS OR CHILDREN
The space
Gorgeous little studio apartment, set at the gable end of Nanpean Barn.
Bright and light with stunning sea and cape views from the front windows, and views to the side across to the beautiful grand Porthledden house and the sea. At time of writing April 2024 this house was on the market for a cool £5 million - so posh neighbours!
My little bolt hole has been decorated and furnished in coastal hues, reflecting the stunning scenery and ever changing vistas of the sea.
The bedroom area has a double bed and wardrobe, the kitchen area is open plan and flows effortlessly into the living dining space.
The white wicker high table and bar stools enables you to eat your meals and enjoy drinks whilst admiring the views out of the elevated window.
The living area has a big window with a deep window seat, where you can read your book and while away the hours dreaming of your day to come.
Here you will find an electric log burning fire for instant heat, a comfy sofa and original Poldark books, to immerse yourself in West Cornwalls mining history.
Brand new night storage heaters have been installed to keep you warm and cosy.
The kitchen area is well fitted with an electric hob and oven, cupboards and dishwasher. Microwave, toaster and kettle and cafetière.
Washing machines and tumble dryers are available in the laundry room for all guests at Nanpean Barn to use. You will also find wetsuit drying facilities here and much more.
I have designed this darling little des res to help my guests unwind and forget real life, and use it as a bolt hole for myself when available - hence it is pretty special!

Guest access
The whole of the studio apartment is yours to enjoy, and in the grounds are facilities with washing machines and tumble dryers, storage and wetsuit drying.
There is a sheltered garden area where guests are welcome to enjoy a picnic and drinks, and to mingle with other guests.
On the rewards side of Nanpean barn are benches for guests to sit and enjoy the view, and watch our stunning sunsets if the skies are clear.
There is parking for one car, space number 1 next to the laundry room, and at the gable end where the entrance to the studio is, there is general parking for anyone. Please park sensibly and consider other guests parking needs. Park here to unload then park in the allocated space.
Although the studio is ground floor, there are several steps up to the front door, so not accessible to wheelchairs I'm afraid. However, there are some downstairs apartments which some owners holiday let which would be more suitable.
Nanpean Barn offers a wonderful sense of community which I love!

Other things to note
Nanpean Barn over looks part of the golf course with the sea and the cape beyond.
Cape Cornwall Golf and Leisure Club is directly behind the Nanpean carpark, so an easy stroll for you to enjoy a cold beer, or a glass of Prosecco after a days walking the south west coastal path.
The food is delicious, open for breakfast lunch and dinner when you don't feel like shopping or cooking. The club has an indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, and a gym so if it is blowing a westerly gale and pouring with rain, just head on over for a swim and a leisurely lunch!
The B3306 coast road between St.Ives and Penzance offers spectacular views - the best road trip you will ever take! It is like Bodmin Moor by the sea, wild and barren where you can have 4 seasons in a day.
Much of the surrounding land and coastal paths are owned by the National Trust and there are many places to visit whilst you are walking, where you will discover much of Cornwalls mining history. Think Poldark!
There is a National Trust carpark at the bottom of the hill, so if you want to meet up with friends, they will have somewhere to park.
The nearby village of St. Just has a thriving community with 2 butchers, food stores, post office, quirky shops, cafes and 4 pubs plus a great art vibe.
Once you have booked you will have access to lots of visitor information, including guided walks and places of interest to visit.
Priests Cove at the bottom of the hill, is still used by local fishermen and it has a natural swimming pool in the rocks when the tide is out.
