Decor inspired by a painting of a snowy scene in Quebec. New and sparkling clean room, comfortable, queen sized, sleigh bed with a down duvet. Shared kitchen, sunny eating area and bath just down the hall. Come and settle in!

The space

This room is the original master bedroom of this house. There is a west-facing window with a robust cedar tree outside. Closet space is plentiful in this room.

Guest access

Welcome! Your entrance is via the front door. Your room is up these stairs and straight ahead. The kitchen, bath and sunny eating area are to the right. If the room opposite the kitchen isn't booked, feel free to use it as a sitting room. The third floor is not for guest use.

Interaction with guests

I have a studio up on the third floor. If my work schedule allows, I will be around to check you in, answer your questions, and show you to your room. And I know you're curious about my work - I'm a dental hygienist, so there's some floss you can use in the bathroom!

Other things to note

There is a public school down the street, and traffic can be congested around 9 AM and 3:30 PM.

Tanya was very responsive and her home was easy to find and well maintained. We weren't there for long, but did enjoy a comfortable bed for the night!

Response from Tanya:
Thank you, Jessica, for the feedback about the fan. I bought one for the room that same day. I am glad you liked the memory foam mattress!

Tanya was awesome! My room was comfortable and felt like home! Tanya was able to meet me a couple hours before check in which made things a lot more convenient. Great host, great location and will not hesitate to stay at Tanya's. In fact I will make a point of it. Thank you.

Tanya was very welcoming when we arrived. She upgraded us to the Quebec Room since it wasn't booked. She offered oatmeal cookies in a fully stocked kitchen. We had the entire second floor of the house to ourselves, and it was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers in the kitchen and bathroom. There was parking provided on site at no extra charge. The room was furnished with an assortment of fresh towels, comfy stuffed bedding and two terry cloth bathrobes - how luxurious! If we needed anything (which we didn't by the sounds of it!) Tanya was just around the corner. Our 3 night stay couldn't have been better or more affordable. We were a stone's throw from our wedding reception and Canada's Wonderland for a perfect Toronto weekend getaway.

I needed a place for my son to stay while interviewing in Toronto. I never me met her. But she was quick to respond, super helpful and it all worked out swimmingly. Thanks so much!

Not the best air bnb i've stayed at. I never met the lady had to show myself in when I arrived. After I figured out where I was supposed to park!!! Pretty much figure everything out on my own. Would've been nice to know the others that were staying there. It was a little strange to say the least. But she does offer a nice clean room.

Response from Tanya:
I do wish I could be there to greet every guest, but my work schedule doesn't allow for it. However, I do appreciate being told where I can improve, so I'll be sure to put up instructions so that where to park will be crystal clear. When you stay at the Kipling house, be sure to introduce yourself to the other people who are staying! You will get to know them that way :-)
