Welcome to Curlew Corner! A new, private upstairs guesthouse in one of Charleston’s most desirable neighborhoods. With a king bed+sofa bed, this is an ideal spot for couples, friends, or small families looking for a getaway in a beautiful city!

Location! The guesthouse is within walking distance to many eateries, bars, a music venue, cinema, farmer’s market, yoga studio, playground, boat landing, and beautiful water views. Close to downtown Charleston and Folly Beach, you can’t beat this spot!

The space
Riverland Terrace is in a central location (7 miles from Folly Beach and 4.5 miles from downtown) and surrounded by local restaurants, cafes, and bars. You get the best of everything being in this spot. Take a stroll in the stunning neighborhood of 100 year old live oak trees to start your morning, grab a quintessential southern breakfast at Millers All Day, and then head downtown to see the plentiful historical sights and shops. Or, if you’re craving the sun, pack your cooler, grab the beach chairs & towels provided and head to Folly. Whichever direction you go, or if you decide to stay close by, you’re bound to enjoy yourself.

Curlew Corner was thoughtfully designed to be a place of retreat and easy living. The guesthouse is connected to our main home via a sunroom. Your space will feel very separate and private. We’re dedicated hosts that love to travel and spend time on the water with our two little boys. I’m an educator, and my husband, Gates, owns and operates his own fishing charter business out of Folly Beach—let us know if you’re interested in a fishing or boat cruise adventure! You may occasionally hear our boys playing in the yard on the other side of the fence, but we work hard to make sure they're always mindful and respectful of our guests. We’ll respect your privacy but are also available for whatever you may need :)
