We had a fantastic time in Washington thanks in large part to staying in the perfect location. Bill was great at replying straight away as well. Thank you!

We stayed in Bill's studio for 8 nights and had a great time! The location could'nt be better and the place has everything you need. Communication and check-in was smooth and Bill replied within minutes. The kitchen is a bit old and grubby, but we ate out most of the time anyways. All in all, Bill's studio is a nice place and you get a lot of value for a relatively cheap price.

One word: PERFECT. This place was even better than we expected. If you are a young traveler like my husband and me, I would especially recommend it to you. Aside from being at the center of a lively neighborhood, it's decently close to a metro and there are busses that nearly drop off at the front door. My husband and I lived in DC for a summer prior to visiting and we just couldn't get over how lucky we got with this particular Airbnb for it's price, location, and amenities. It's a studio apartment, but a very spacious one at that. You should not feel cramped in this space. DC. Thank you so much for such a great stay!

Couple of things about this place. First, EXCELLENT location for walking to food, entertainment and public transit. And Bill was awesome about offering us a drink at his bar just up the road. There were a couple of significant issues though. First, Bill didn't initially get back to me for several days after I initially booked the place. Obviously he's a busy guy, but after I pay over $500 for a place to stay, I expect a certain amount of availability from a host. Another example was waiting nearly 12 hours for him to respond to my question about the Wi-Fi password. Very nice guy, very had to reach. Next, there were some issues with cleanliness. Dirty dishes in the cupboards (which I washed when I found them), a plate lying upside down next to the couch (which I did not move), and the floor had not been vacuumed for quite some time. Finally, I wish I had known there were two flights of stairs to walk up. Overall, not a terrible experience. But I definitely would not have paid as much as I did if I had known about these issues. Seems to me Bill had a couple of bad tenants, and didn't notice they left his place a mess.

This is one of the more affordable listings in DC and it's perfectly adequate although it won't blow you away. Guests should know that the apartment is a third floor walk-up. The stairs are pretty steep, which could be an issue for this who are less than spry. Adams Morgan is a great neighborhood, but the apartment is on a commercial block of restaurants and bars with heavy traffic. Weekends, especially, are noisy. It's location is convenient to bus lines. Amenities are very basic (but we were happy to find wifi, which the wasn't in the listing.) Sheets and towels were clean; floors not so much. There was no toilet paper when we arrived but Bill had some delivered within the hour. There were a lot of small irritations: the TV remote was on the floor behind the bed, I had to crawl on the floor to read the wifi password off the back of the modem. A larger irritation was that for our visit the central AC wasn't working (according to the host it's being fixed) but there was a window unit. We needed both the window AC and a fan to cool the apartment when the outside temperature was above 90 degrees. We communicated with Bill, the host, via text and he was very responsive. All in all, it's pretty basic and less user-friendly than other places we've stayed, but if you're looking for a budget studio in DC, this is a serviceable option.

I'm a pretty laid back Blues Bar owner....ok,maybe not that laid-back....but I enjoy life....because of my work, every day is different...I have no set schedule and haven't had to use an alarm clock in over 30 years. I travel often; either alone or w friends and family
