This unique space is nestled in between firestone and blue hotel. The loft is attached to a gallery and is one of the best finds in ABQ. Right out the front door..route 66. This is downtown ABQ. Galleries, Sushi and the Brewery culture popping up at every corner. This is downtown Albuquerque so with the flair of uniqueness comes a flair of downtowners.

The space

The location, which is quite a unique older great space. If your looking for stark and white this is not for you. The front of the space is used as an art gallery and the back of the space (upstairs and downstairs) is where you stay. There is a bed in a loft in the upstairs space which is accessed by a ladder. There are three couches, a bathroom, and a kitchen. The room is full of beautiful art. The downstairs has rugs to cover up unfinished basement floors and opens into one large room with a bed and another smaller room off of that with the third bed. The space is huge and has plenty of great places to relax/ there is a gated parking lot that is secured by a gate. If you want great food there is some within walking distance. People walk to the convention center and down town breweries and restaurants. But remember it is downtown ..... downtown abq.... some families are not used to downtown life:) I love it and if you have traveled .. and seen cities... down town life has its greats and it has noise and some " sketchy" Humans as well. We take our kids downtown all the time.... it's not for people who will say the surroundings are the result of loft location. If you want art and edge:) with a sprinkle of downtown abq... this is your spot.... it's edgy...I love living downtown:) and you will enjoy your stay:) Sunday nights are a treat as Central NW becomes a hot hangout spot complete with lowriders and other cruisers. Its loud..on Sunday nights downtown what can I say. Guests have stated that they would absolutely stay here again. :) It was a blast.

I appreciate reviews so that I can better improve my hostessing/ Thanks to my guests I have learned about getting better comfortable bedding and stating that I do have a private parking downtown ABQ:) Some families have stated that they don't like staying her due to the diversity/ if your not open minded and want little less downtown culture this is not for you.

Guest access

There is a stairwell to the back yard. Also roof top access...you will have to squeeze through a tiny window....but the view is worth the squeeze.
Also since I am an occupational therapist and my practice is located in the gallery area there are sometimes showings and special events that are scheduled during your stay. The space where guests are is not used. We have had no issues.

Interaction with guests

I try to stay in touch with them by text:) and phone calls are welcome;) I keep all guests aware of the art shows that happen in and around gallery:) this may happen during your stay .:) the gallery concierge is well aware of guests:) your things are safe the bedrooms are separate it is not a house it's a loft area:) I take pride in making sure everyone who stays is happy with accommodations.... I ask everyone look around loft and make sure it's to your liking

Other things to note

Just scheduled gallery showing but there is no use of the space guests use. If guests want the entire space blocked we can arrange something. Most guests enjoy the gallery and soon see that it will not interfere with their stay:0)

The wi-code is on a sheet on dining room (URL HIDDEN) works best to hook up in gallery. For some reason it just has a hard time connecting upstairs. We are working to rectify this as we speak. Also if you stand at top of stairs you can connect there as well...Enjoy your stay:)

Victoria’s Place is great! It is an actual artist’s studio and so much more! The place is gigantic; it covers three different floors, is artfully eclectic, with comfortable beds and sofas. We loved the place; the only problem was that Victoria advertised that she has WiFi when in fact it works only in her office which is off limits to guests. If you can do without internet and you are artsy, give it a try! You might not want to do this with small children because there are so many items that could be easily grabbed and/or broken.

Response from Victoria:
All the beautiful art and furnishings are a plus for my LOFT. I appreciate the compliment ...When I tried to explain the Wi-Fi I was met with the problems of the other Air bnb place you stayed. I was immediately put off by my immediate answers into try and help you problem solve the wi-fi Issue. I readily accepted that "yes this building is old and its sometimes difficult to connect..I even have a hard time connecting. My office is out of bounds yes but only because I have to run a practice and gallery and none of the guests have access. The router is in the office because its the only phone line available...I was put off by the urgency of this issue. This was not the only issue. I advertise exactly what is available and if I was afforded the opportunity to rectify the Wi-Fi issue things would have gone more smoothly. I hope that with your next stay with airbnb hosts are more attentive to details for your party ...I know that when people stay I hope they know that I will do most anything to make them comfortable and enjoy the uniqueness of the loft and downtown... Thank you for your feed back. Victoria

Thai house is super cool and artistic, full of inspired pieces, but many not great for a family. There is plenty of space, but the neighborhood just didn't feel safe at all. It was loud. The police were outside. There were druggies, helicopters, etc. We walked a couple blocks to eat and some tweekers rattled my kids. There was a note that there might be concurrent events happening at the attached and open museum, so I wouldn't really call it a private house rental. But... if you want to be artistically inspired, it's your place, hands down.

Response from Victoria:
Downtown (URL HIDDEN) has its good and its bad..I have it clearly stated that there is a gallery attached and there are shows during your stay some people love it while others... I cant do enough to make their stay comfortable. Some families love it ...while others don't. It a choice of preference..I love it down here..The gallery is becoming and intricate part of downtown and we hope to change the face of this part of Albuquerque/ Hope the downtown scene is for you...

Victoria's place was amazing. I was in Albuquerque for a wedding with 5 friends, and we all had a fantastic time hanging out on the roof and exploring downtown. The house is full of art and decor, which I loved. If I came back to Albuquerque with a group I would absolutely book this Airbnb again.

Nice location walkable to good beer and food. Central to get to attractions like the tram or the Isleta amphitheater which we were in town to see a concert for. Fun decorations/art in the space and the private parking is nice. There are a lot of homeless people in the area if you are out at night, some of which may be vocal. No issues but it could be unnerving or intimidating to someone not used to that.

Response from Victoria:
If there was one thing that is the most perfect part about the loft is it Is downtown. That being said it is downtown and there are homeless people. Summer time is when down town really buzzes and if there were something I could do about homeless I would . we work very hard as a community to support each other as business owners and members . I am glad you enjoyed the space. But I have been on the fence as to If I should keep offering it to people to Stay. I ask that every guest comes in and Makes sure that it is to Their satisfaction .... bathrooms beds .... etc... I was well aware of the take out in the fridge..I even mentioned it To you. I sometimes forget things and have 3 other jobs. We just sprayed and have been on top of the bugs.... it's downtown.... so we are always battling critters especially in the summer. I hope that my assistant got the hairdryer to you in time and was glad to help problemsolve the internet. Hope you have a great summer....
