Great hosts, was out for 2 weeks from the UK & made my stay very comfortable. Lovely accommodation & garden/pool area with stunning views, will definitely be back next time!

I was met at the front gate and made to feel welcome straight away even though I was very early! The rooms were spacious, well appointed with plenty of cupboard space and very clean. The location was perfect for my needs and only a 5 minute drive to the two malls nearby. The breakfast provided was ideal, fresh fruit and yoghurts and eggs were offered as well. I would recommend Sharon's place to anyone.

Sharon's two-bedroomed cottage is attached to the main house. The cottage is beautiful, extremely comfortable and very very quiet - a peaceful environment. The view across the city from the front lawn is spectacular. Access to the motorway and the city is very easy, direct and a very short trip. The breakfast of muesli, milk (both trim and lactose-free), bread, fruit, yoghurt, eggs and other trimmings (jam, marmite, etc) was especially delicious and wholesome. A very nice touch was obtaining coffee from the roastery across the road (after I had mentioned seeing it on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps) and providing a plug adaptor for New Zealand plugs. Sharon and Fred responded very quickly with our queries and were very helpful in providing information on local amenities. The only minor frustration was the problems with the internet connection. It seems that there were issues with the network in street while work was being undertaken by the service provider. A similar story experienced by other members of our family staying elsewhere in the city. In summary a comfortable, relaxing and restful stay at Sharon's place. We recommend it highly and will be staying there again on our return to Pietermaritzburg.

It's a gorgeous place to stay with a great hilltop view of the city of Pietermaritzburg. The location is a bit out of the way of the city center, but we had no issues with taxis finding it. The hosts were friendly and informative. It was an excellent experience.
