A fantastic room in a converted storage house at Bjerke farm, 5 minute from Lillehammer center by car. Looking over the city across the river delta, this 17th century farm is both private and centrally placed within Norways wintersport area.

Jan and family made my boyfriend and I feel very welcome in this absolutely incredible farm. The photographs really don't do it justice, the place is an old seed house, with wooden beams, rustic furnishings and a smell that you can't even describe (a good smell). The attention to detail in the barn was amazing, all the period features were well kept and this was a great insight into traditional Norwegian life. The summer house at the bottom of the garden that overlooks Lillehammer is incredible, sat reading in the early evening sunshine was bliss! We were even joined by Jan's Norwegian forest cat, who is absolutely stunning and really friendly! The farm is located close to Lillehammer and it is only a short drive to the centre, but even if we had to walk, the views from this place really made up for it. It was clean, warm and really REALLY comfortable! Thank you so much for an amazing stay and we will definitely be recommending you to our friends and family. We will be back!

Jan was very responsive when we needed to change our reservation. The room was charming and filled with interesting antiques. The farm had beautiful views of the valley. It was fun to stay at Bjerke Farm.

From the advertized text and photo's we could expect a room in a very old wooden structure. The room exceeded our expectations in many respects. The marvelous view across the lake was not in the description and so cama as a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and warm when we arrived. The shower was in the room, a sort of musquito net in a tub, but once uo got the hang of that, very usable. Wooden everything, even the floor of the toilet room. must be a lot of work to keep that clean. Jan is a very nice Norwegian who makes you feel very welcome. Good choice.

My stay in Lillehammer was fantastic! I couldn't even expect how lucky i was to be hosted by Jan and Johanna. The place is magnificent, the house is very cozy and comfy. The view from the yard is breathtaking, especially to the Olympics-addicts, but not only! The famous sky-jumping venue is right opposite to the house, across the lake. No descriptions would be enough... Its better to see it once, than here thousand times! The hosts are incredible! I enjoyed every moment spent in their company! If you have a chance to join the family for breakfast, you will be the luckiest!!! Yummiest food, coziest atmosphere! Thank you Jan and Johanna, Henrik and Annika!! For the amazing time I spent in Lillehammer! I am definitely coming back!
